The Spurs are just making every single shot they need to, that's the only difference. 2:40 left, we need to pick it up or pack it up, I can't believe Chauncey only has 10 points, Duncan is just having a monster game at the right time.
-
I'm losing confidence, with Chauncey only having 1 FG it's hard for us to point up a lot of points. Rip is also 5 of 17

goddam

Here we go boys, lets have a good game. win or lose it's been a great playoffs, and what a great matchup it's been for the finals. LETS MAKE IT TWO IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides being a Michigan fan which is nearly unforgivable...I think JohnO was not alone in his sentiment that the Pistons were blowing it. They are not a team for the faint of heart and I believe he was merely venting his feelings. Who amongst us hasnt counted our team out after a bad showing only to feel better about it the next day and remain optimistic. The day after Game 5 I figured we were done with, until Tuesday I had the feeling that I just knew we were gonna win. So I'm just saying, cut the guy some slack, after all, its just basketball. oh, hey i realize that, but if you guys have the freedom to have that opinion, i can have the opposite of it.
-
probably because he has no faith in the team and already awarded the spurs the championship before the series was even played.
-
Phil Jackson picked the Spurs to win on PTI, said they have better "character" players. I don't believe a word this guy has to say, it was evident last year when Larry Brown decided to coach the Pistons and Phil put his foot in his mouth by saying Larry was basically an idiot for coaching a team full of "thugs" that couldn't get it together to win anything. Time for Phil to eat some more crow.
-
bottom line? the pistons do things they're not supposed to do, they're not supposed to win 2 games in a row to beat miami, they're not supposed to win game 6 in san antonio, they're not supposed to beat the lakers last year. but guess what we did.
-
HELL YES
-
heh, hubie brown is talking about how they've been consistent with their ticky tack calls, just because they're consistency making bad calls doesnt mean it's a good thing.
-
sigh, i havent blamed the refs for any losses this series and im not about to, but it's pretty obvious how bias crawford is. calling ticky tack fouls in game 6 of the finals and handing the all over to the spurs even when they turn it over, horrible. we're still up though, so its good to go.
-
since last feburary, well at least i know who im dealing with, not impressed ;o
-
serioiusly man, we can have a debate, but watch your ******* mouth, it's not only unneccessary, but it's disrespctful and against forum guidelines, call me an idiot and back it up, but don't result to the petty s**t you're resulting to. the only "dumbf***" i see around here is the one that has to get his point across that way, it's hard to take to you seriously. that's a good point, and most people picked the spurs, but im gonna go with the defending champs still. I don't buy that the Spurs have been more impressive, I just don't see it. but that's another 2 paragraphs i dont feel like talking. so once again, we can fight, get in a pissing match and measure our internet dicks, but don't come at me with that tone again its petty and very rude.
-
ARE YOU ******* KIDDING ME CRAWFORD? TECHNICAL ON LARRY FOR WHAT??????????????
-
it's unbelivable, the cops aren't the only thing corrupt in texas.
-
Heh, alright, if you're not a fairweather fan I don't know what is. During the begining of the series when Detroit struggled, it was over, you already congratulated the Spurs, then we win 2 straight and you're back on board! It's our series now! Then we lose another one and it's back to "grats spurs!" make up your ******* mind. and you're not "calling it like you see it" you're changing your opinion after every single game. There's a BIG difference between being a blind tunnel vision watching fan and someone who has more confidence in their team and realze how much adversity they'd had to go through to get back here. It's not "over" because you think you know something since you've been a fan for 15 years or whatever you want to claim. This isn't any other team, the stats mean JACK when talking about the Pistons, take a look at the outcome of the Miami series. rooting blindly? I'm giving you specific facts on how you've acted through this series, I've been a very even keeled Pistons fan and haven't given them too much credit or discredited the Spurs at all so don't call me a homer. You just need to relax and not overract to each post and each game played, we're not in the finals because we have nice looking jerseys. Doubt the Pistons all you want, call yourself a "true fan who just is objective and not a homer" but don't expect people to read your "congrats to the spurs" comments and believe you're totally on board. whatever though, we're both here for the same reason, I'll just be more concrete and let you spaz for everyone. You call it like you see it in the Finals, I'll call it like I see it right here.
-
I'll do the same, I'll just keep calling you a fairweather fan!
-
k That was posted after game 1? or 2? by johnogrodnickfanclub now he posts seriously man, either stay on the bandwagon or go by a tony parker jersey.
-
He had TWENTY ONE points in the FOURTH QUARTER, he made 5 of 6 3 pointers, he's clutch, he's the ONLY reason it was close in the 4th, period.
-
uh, yes he was the only reason why there was an overtime, did you see his stats in the 4th quarter? if horry doesn't go off, we're up 3-2 going to SA.
-
I don't agree, the ONLY reason the Spurs went to overtime is because of Robert Horry, the ONLY reason the Spurs won was because of Robert Horry. Robert Horry had to come up with the game of his LIFE to be able for the Spurs to win by ONE POINT. I honestly don't see that ever happening again. It's so funny how some of you guys jump off the bandwagon and forget what type of team we have here. It's like we've never come back from adversity. I mean s**t, did you guys watch the game last night? It was OUR game from the begining, we lost because Horry went mega-clutch and had the best game of his career. I honestly don't think we're in that bad of shape. If they can win in our building we can win twice in theirs. btw gowingsgo, are you acting like we didn't know what horry was capable of? horry doesn't "win 1 game a series for his team" where was he against the sonics? where was he against dallas? He's made more clutch shots from 3 land than any other person, but come on man, come back to earth. that was his one great game of the series, reminds me of the game the 76'ers one when Webber went off. I'm not worried, never have been. We've won 2 games in a row before, the Spurs aren't invincible.
-
You know, this is probably the first time ever in my history of watching home town playoff games that I marveled at a player on the other team single handedly destroying MY team. Robert Horry, as much as it sucks, was a treat to watch, I'd rather us have won, I'd rather see a sweep and a boring series than see Horry go off, but to be honest, that type of performance doesn't happen a lot anymore. McGrady did it in the season, Horry does it off the bench. I'm still confident, but to be honest, when a guy like Horry is hot, there's not much you can do.
-
^^^ have faith!
-
ehhh, they said the same thing in the Miami series, Detroit is the best team in basketball getting over adversity.
-
yeah im sure they will be here to gloat again, anyway, wasn't a bad game, we played well. i know people will come and nitpick, but what it all boils down to is we lost, it doesn't matter how we lost, by 100 or by 1, it sucks just the same.
