Ya, I went to the Wings vs Jackets game Saturday, and I can't say I wasn't happy with the outcome. We moved down by the glass to watch the warmups, we stayed there and got to watch the game until the middle of the second pd. untill we got moved up to the nosebleeds (who shows up to a game that late, with seats like that anyways?)... ..Anyways here some pics I took, I have them split up between two flickr accounts. Ya thanks guys, usually I'd be able to Photoshop them to make some of them look cleaner, but my laptop died. Some of the photos I took right through the photographer's hole in the glass. Well because if Edmonton beats Colorado in all three games they have left against them, that's 6 points they get, and 6 points Colorado doesn't get.

It's crazy but Edmonton is even starting to look like a possibility right now, they have been real hot, are only 5 points back, and now the only teams they will be playing are Colorado, Vancouver, and Calgary.

This year we have six 20-goal scores, two of which being 30+ goal scores, who should all be able to repeat that next year also. We also have another forward capable of potting 20 in Hudler, i they can stay consistent our offense looks good going into the playoffs.

What makes me really sick about Pronger, is the NHL gives him such leeway to where he will do something worth being susepended, but not worth being penalized? Read his suspension list, how many of those plays was he allowed to finish the game unpenalized? It is disgusting how much this bastard gets away with. Why do they let him do this crap? Not to mention the things he does get suspended for if anyone else did it would be a much longer punishment.

I think we really need Stuart/UFA signing for next year though. At this point I'd say Krons>Stuart when healthy, so that is pretty awesome to be able to say Brad Stuart and Chris Chelios are your 4th and 5th Dmen. Still if we don't sign Stuart that will open up a spot for a young guy. I really do love Lebs, but Ericsson should have his spot next year.

Maybe give NHL coaches one challenge per game like in the NFL. It could come in handy for all those penalties getting called in the last minute. I mean....what could it really hurt.

What I don't understand is why they have the rule, anout certain plays in the game that the refs call stands even if the video review CONCLUSIVELY shows otherwise (i.e. the Sharks game, the high stick against Edmonton in the playoffs years ago), honestly what is the point of that? I could understand to some point, but what is the point of having video if it isn't properly utilized. If a play can be proven conclusively by video, it should be able to overturn a BAD call, instead of just giving refs power for the sake of them having power. You would think the NHL would just simply do everything in its power to get the right call son the ice, and it's most certainly not.

Spectors is great too, he does good analysis of rumors, but they are usally pretty obvious anyways, but nontheless still a great site.

All of this and just think what could have been had the Ducks had one draft pick higher in the post lockout draft lottery in 2005, and been able to draft.......Sidney Crosby. That would have been ridiculous, although they wouldn't have been able to afford QUITE the roster they have had with Sid's salary.......unless they just asked some one else to sit out, and for longer.

Ah yes, I forgot that Ellis' deal was not a two way. I also think it's great to see Downey not get waived. Maybe they have finally realized what a person like Downey can actually bring to this team over an average player like Ellis.
