If we added a player like Ryan Smyth to this already awesome roster that we have, I would S**t a cornish game hen.

Where can i check the stats and such for this? Wouldn't it be sweet if both Lebda, and Howard could eb on USA's next omympic roster. Either way USA is gonna have a sick defense with Erik and Jack Johnson, and Ryan Suter. Even soem sweet goaltending with Ryan Miller, and Corey Schneider.

Thats's it, dress both Ericsson and Meech. Let Meech handle the load of regular stregth shifts, and let Ericsson do some PP work...... (now only if was just THAT easy in the real world.)

If Mike decides he isn't going to put him on the point, we have no reason play Sammy, although he has been playign hard. However, based on how much he has been playign I'd say Mike's choice would be Kyle.

I posted this in another thread, and I'm not even sure about it myself but; does anyone else think it might be a good idea to play 7 defenseman? What if Lebda plays and he doesn't play up to par because of his injury it would help, or what if Markov or some one else gets hurt and we are stuck with playing Meech and Quincey big minutes? Only dressing 11 forwards doesn't hurt us as much as only having 5 really capable defenseman, ecspecially against a team like San Jose.

Chelios has played amazing! He has been one of our best D-man, and IMO he deserves some time on the powerplay too, it seems to me he has been getting off a lot of good shots too. Does anyone think we should sit Calder next game so we can dress both Meech and Ericsson to play? I was weighing the pros and cons of this, and it seems to me Calder is getting much time anyways, plus what if something happens to Markov, or some one else, and we are stuck having to play Quincey ALOT more and Meech or Ericsson more?(Quincey has played pretty decent though.)

Don Cherry is a xenophobe, which is pretty a pretty sad thing. However, in Don's case it is a very funny thing.

I agree with what Heaton said. All this means to me is that the Sammy-Hudler line will get more time, and Bert-Franz will end up getting even less prob. Babs will never sit Lang or Sammy. Also doesn't anyone else think it is a terrible idea having Lang and Sammy on the same line? EDIT: I didn't mean to come in and neg up the vibes in this thread, it's jus that i think Babcock is an awesome coach ,ut he seems really inept when it comes to changing up things when they aren't working ( Our PP, Sammy on the point, our second line, Lang).

Any direction we look, the Wings wil have to face a tough, All-Star caliber goalie. ....but so will who ever faces us.

I thought the Flames had some dirty plays in game one , but overall our series has been pretty clean.

Yea I understand your frustration, trust me. However, you knew coming into this series that your team wasn't a great road team. The loss of Regher has probably hurt your D a bit too but the D hasn't been terrible. The Flames were starting to scare me in the 2nd, but homefully come game three they well come out completely flat for our sake . Although we all know the Wings still have to go for it in game 3 and just can not sit back. They Flames are going to be tough next game.

Ya I'm startimg to feel that way too, but if we can get Bert in for Sammy who has been playing sub par thats not a bad trade off. Bert can really help us win game 3 on the road , and if we win game 3 and take a 3-0 series lead against the Flames who are one of the toughest teams and have arguably the best goalie in the West.....that's just huge.

Doesn't the NHL have some kind of stupid rule about puting fighters out in the last minute of the game or something. I remember Harttley got fined for doing something like that before. I can't remember correctly but, I think it was even Eric Boulton who he sent out.

McGeugh is one of the worst refs ever, no exaggerations here. He really is. I don't know how the NHL can continue to pay this guy after he has ruined so many games. Why would they even take a chance with him reffing a playoff game? and why do WE always get stuck with him in the playoffs? Damn

I hope the Blue Jackets take Sutter, even though they need a center. I want my 2nd favorite team to get better.

I know I am super psyched for the playoffs this year, I am about to crawl out of my skin in anticipation. I think out line up is so much better for the playoffs this year than last year. We have replaced Yzerman,Shanahan,Williams,Mowers, Legace, and Howard(who had to be back up last year). With Filppula,Bertuzzi,Hudler,Hasek, and Ozzie. Shanny and Williams were probably two of our worst against the Oil. Just having two healthy goalies like Ozzie and Hasek gives me confidence. Plus I feel Lebda and Franzen have became better sence players last season. Bert will probably get going in the playoffs to though.

We should get Naslund so we can have a Dats-Zetter and a Bert-Naslund line. In real life...I would love to get a good shooter.
