I've gotten a boo once at a Kroger in Columbus wearing my Wings' jersey, but the person was cool and talked to me about hockey. Columbus is a pretty good hockeytown IMO, there was always good energy at the Jackets games. The Jackets may be the last team to have made the playoffs, but they won't be the last team to win a playoff round, or even game.

Now if we shed Meech, or Cheli doesn't come back, or we shed one of our extra defensemen(and if you subtract McCarty's contract), that could be a little more to work with around 8m. That leaves us there with about 8mil to sign Franzen,Hudler,Sammy, and maybe a backup goalie. We all know what they could make on the open market, but Franzen taking a deal like a 10 7 3.5 2 2, which would leave us with a cap hit of 4.08. That is with one year making the league max. That would leave us with about 4m left for Hudler, Sammy, and a backup. Our backup could easily be Howard with a cap hit of .750 I think. Our roster could easily lose one of Sammy and Hudler, but I am too tired to do rest of the math. Is it this a stretch? Maybe, but I see this as very plausible, unless the cap goes down by a great amount, which I don't see it doing, based on things I've heard. I'm still pretty optimistic, I guess. Or we could just use Hossa's money on Tim Thomas.

Do you guys think that if the Jackets make the playoffs that Mason could win the Hart? I could see them giving Thomas the Vezina, and Mason the Hart, or something like that possibly.

Honestly though as a much as I hate refs he wasn't in the position to make any sort of call about that. It's his fault he wasn't in the middle of that to haven been able to see it though.

Good to hear Nick doesn't have anything broken. For some reason Franzen-Datsyuk-Clear and Hossa-Z-Holmstrom, looks better to me than what they are going with. Either way the Franzen-Datsyuk Z-Hossa combos will be interesting.

Some one show me the video where teh ref signaled it a goal on the ice. Because he didnt. The Vs announcer even comments on that fact. That said I think it was a good goal myself.

I think we just need to maybe get the right chemistry of lines first. Just think what this team would look like with a fourth line of Helm-Draper-Abdelkader than Kopecky-Draper-Maltby, hell just even Helm in for Kopecky sounds cool. I could honestly see Kopecky getting traded at the deadline, or after the season, to make room for Helm. I think maybe mixing our D lines too. I have always wanted to see Nick, and Nik together.
