We dont have Maltby for his scoring. I don't know how many of those enforces could play the PK. Kopecky is defiantly disposable though, IMO. Yea he was good late in the season, but I just don't see him doing much that an Abdelkader or Helm can't already be able to do anyways. I really don't see anythign wrong with a Laraque signing, but the fact of the matter is our "enforcer" next season will be McCarty, Downey, or no one.

Even if we don't sign Stuart, and Chelios happens to not resign, Ericsson still wouldn't be on the team next year I think. We have Lebda, Meech, Quincey, and Possibly Lilja all fighting for the 4,5, and 6th spot, who all can not clear waivers while Big E can.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the B's only have about 6mil in cap space, while we have about 17 mil left as of right now.

Filppula will be signed for less than $4mil thats all I know.

I have been a Blue Jackets fan for a couple years now, as I have visited Columbus often because of a friend and such, but I really like the city and think it is a good hockey market. I really want this team to finally have a good season. They really have so many holes that need to be filled, but I hope they don't start by giving Malone a ridiculous contract, and giving the Penguins a draft pick. They have Voracek coming up, who I think if makes the team this year could be in Calder contention with Stamkos. I'd expect at least a 50 pt season from him. This team has drafted horribly in the past and the whole Maclean era was a disaster. They really just need to start over and take things one step at a time instead of making it a playoffs or bust type season. We should offer the Jackets some kind of Kopecky,Meech package for Brule, as I think he'd flourish here, and Meech would do very well there too. One thing is for sure if Malone signs a bloated deal, I would really expect Franzen to sign at the same pay level as him.

Ya Franzen had a freaking bruise on his brain WTF MAN!? Filppula was prob playing at 50% Holmstrom at 25%, they all played like warriors. I don't know what was up with Cleary, maybe he could have been bothered by his jaw, but none of us probably expected him to get outscored by Helm.

Why don't they use the money for some one like Redden?

Pittsburgh should save the Hossa money and spend it on some one like Wade Redden. He wasn't great this year, but he would make a noticeable difference for the team.

I live in Toledo, and I was wondering the same thing. I checked at Dicks but they didn't have it. I will also be in Columbus this week if anyone knows a place there to get it too. I don't want to order it online if I don't have to so hopefully I can find one.

I think Lidstrom is more valuable to the Wings than Ovechkin is to the Caps. Obviously debatable, but Lidstrom should have been a finalist for the Hart this year.
