I dont think this was really embellished that much, I have watched it on two different feeds, and it seems to me Oz tripped on the net more than anything. You know what F**k it. I am all for sitting McCarty, but maybe thats not the message this team needs right now. They need a kick in the ass. As much as I love him Cleary should sit a game. That should send the message of urgency to the team and lite a fire under Dan's ass for the next game.

Lines A: Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Filppula-Cleary Maltby-Draper-Abdelkader Samuelson-Helm-Drake How much harm could Abdelkader do on a line with Maltby and Draper? Plus We can throw him with Drake and call it the watch the F**K out line! They said they got Drake to mentor Kopecky, well it's Abdelkader who Drake should be mentoring. I know Sammy gets a lot of s***, but I only want him on a different line because it is very apparent HIM AND FILPPULA OR CLEARY DON'T HAVE CHEMSTRY, and YES that is a big deal. Lines B: Samuelsson-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Hudler-Datsyuk-Filppula Maltby-Draper-Abdelkader Drake-Helm-Cleary A line like Hudler-Datsyuk-Filppula would just be cool, hell Helm even deserves a spot on a top line. Maybe Cleary-Zetterberg-Helm? Realistically, I think Samuellson could be effective with a guy like Holmstrom on the ice to get in front of his shots.

I'm still nervous for Saturday, it's just as important the Wings win as it is for the Stars. If the Starts win it's 3-2 and I don't like our odds in Dallas for game 6 with the the way the game is being called there. Also, there is just a part of me that Turco is due for a win at the Joe. All that said I am just nervous and being a little pessimistic about this whole thing.

The NHL needs to be whoever is the better team as opposed to whoever gets the calls their way that night, and its never going to be any other way until we get a commisioner who understands the game, and isn't in love with seeing powerplays.

Ya, I can understand what Ribiero was feeling, the slash wasn't THAT bad, but juts total inappropriate because of the manner and timing. You just CANT do s*** like that at the end of regulation, to the goalie nonetheless. Obviously he should have just waited until next game to settle it, but it didn't happen. I do feel he deserves a one game suspension, maybe 2-3 tops. If there is no suspension I won't be to surprised though. Just the point of time when he did it (after reg.) makes it worse. It still looks bad to me though, and the NHL just can't let players take out their aggression using their stick. On a side note I am happy as a Wings fan that we won this game as it was just a 1 goal game, we were able to hang on and look dominant.

You know what makes me even more sick Barry Melrose immediatly after placed the blame on Ozzy for "slashing" Ribiero, and saying there shoudlnt be a suspension because Ozzy has pads on. OK THE GAME WAS OVER AND RIBIERO SWUNG HIS STICK! That is all that needs to be known. I ******* hate the VS crew they are so biased. Ya its Ozzys fault, he deserved it, in fact Ribiero should have done it again. Thanks VS. Suck it Ribiero.
