Unfortunately, I can't be at the game tonight as I had knee surgery yesterday morning. I'm a game night intern (unpaid) for the Plymouth Whalers and I really encourage you all to check out a game. I think it's a great idea! But is it me, or is $119 really steep for having less than a month left in the regular season? I'll definitely consider picking it up for next year though.

Yeah, it's not that I expect them to be as big of a fan as I, but guys don't seem to like the idea of a girl knowing more about hockey and other sports than they do. Christy

I find it hard because no guy I know is as big of a Wings fan as me or even more so. I think I intimidate them. I want a boy who loves Wings hockey, is that too hard to ask? haha. And yes, I'm keeping this dating/Wings part of the thread going... Christy

My name made it to the top of the waiting list this past summer. But as a sophomore at U of M (go blue), I didn't have the money to afford the regular season tickets much less the playoff ones. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford them...

I've met these guys at autograph signings: 1) Darren McCarty 2) Chris Chelios 3) Kris Draper 4) Igor Larionov 5) Scotty Bowman I've interviewed Kris Draper and Jason Williams for about 1/2 hour apiece. I'm an intern with the Plymouth Whalers and I talked to Joey Kocur really briefly while he was there for a game right before the Whalers' game. I have yet to meet Yzerman (that's the ultimate "goal"), but he did come to a Whalers' game this season and I saw him walk by. haha. When I was in high school, my parents would sometimes take me to lunch at Andiamo on 15 and Telgraph. Whenever the Wings have a home game, a bunch of them like to go to Andiamo for their pre-game lunch. So I've seen a bunch of players from across the room there, but I didn't actually meet them.

The Hockey News just came out with their latest issue and they ranked all of the current NHL GMs. Ken Holland was No. 1.

I was at that game at the United Center (my first Wings road game) and our corner definitely started up those chants and kept doing them after every big Wings play (ie. a goal or big save by Hasek). One Hawks' fan got so pissed off he kept going "Lets Go Lions." Go Wings!
