For the Kenny apologists, what Holland move would change your stance o

Holland trading the 16th pick and the Defense man that they desperately need were traded for one single year of relief of Dats contract should wake the rest of them up. The Jets got a great defense man with our 16th pick. Holland is the worst part of the Detroit organization, has delayed their rebuild and continues to do so. -

Holland has no balls so NOTHING will get done, but I would go after Trouba. Tatar & Mantha. Trade Mantha before he has an average year with no broken leg. Trouba can be a legit number one. -

Holland needed to get someone of value that he could trade later in the season for the D we need in the future. I like the Nielsen move, we need a capable center. Over payed for Helm; would have let him walk. We don't start building a contender & attracting key FA's until the D is squared away. It's official, The Red Wings are the ugly chick at the bar that used to be hot. Now everybody likes to remind her that she is not hot anymore, because it is easy & they can. -

signed Darren Helm re-signed: 5 years, $3.85m AAV

3 years and 400,000 too much. -

Without fixing the D, none of the free agents the Wings need will choose to come to Detroit. Trade for one, find the pieces to trade for one or just continue the slide we have been on for 8 years.
-
Detroit won't even begin trending upward until they have two solid D to put into the top 4. We are stuck with Ericsson so put him at 6, or push him in front of a bus.

IMO this is a team that has some skill and has a little speed but don't play like they believe they are more than an above average team. With the D we have & an overall lack of strength in the corners how could they think otherwise?

Blash better do something with Smith if he hopes to have a shot of getting back in this game. He is a project that needs to end in Detroit. -

Niether E, Smith or Kindle have any business playing. Each of them bring too much risk every second they are on the ice. -

I get it, Buffalo is what it is. I would look at Montreal. But if it is between Detroit & Buffalo & I am considering the next 5 years. Buffalo has allot of picks & some talent youth already. Detroit has a little, NO D, and Hank & Pav are just plain old.
-
I like Babcock. I think he has achieved allot with some below average teams. My impression (just reading all the same stuff everybody else does) is that he would really like to stay, but just doesn't see the team as competitive as it needs to be. If I am being honest with myself I don't think this team is worthy of a top coach. Too many holes, Hank & Pav are just too old. It is the end of a great era. I have my doubts but I am hopeful that Holland can add a couple of the right D & a few forwards within the next three years. At the end of the day Babs will have to move on if he wants a crack at a team that isn't going to limp into the 1st round and actually has a shot.
-
Nope, I think Holland has a much clearer view of his team. He can't fool himself any longer. He needs a couple top 4 D to hit prime in 3 to 4 years. He will rebuild in a more meaningful way. He has to, in order for them to improve fast enough to be competitive when the new arena opens.
