He's definitely not that; he's scored 30 goals only once and 29 goals once. He's doing great this year but we'll see where it ends up. Of course as you go on to say his value can't be measured by numbers alone. He's worth another deal.

I think (there's that word again) you'd be reading too much into it if you assumed anything like that. I doubt he calculates his words so thoroughly to what I assume was an off the cuff explanation to a beat reporter; it's just a manner of speech.

Cheer up, GMR. They play a basement-dwelling Ducks next (very disappointing if they don't get two points out of that), and then finally get a chance to affect their own destiny when they play the current 8th place Kings. I'm not too excited about going to the Shark tank, but then weak East teams like NYI and the Canes (with Hank and Cleary back at least), and another chance to chip away at Western contender when they play Dallas; they're going to get their shot. It's getting better, man!

Well, if I know anything about the '10 Wings it's that they never make it easy. It would be more like them to blow the lead or cling to a one goal lead for dear life than put the Yotes away. Buuuut... here's a chance to reverse that trend.
