Wings have four or five incredible chances, no finish, other teams comes right back and scores. It's just like I'm watching every other Wings game this season.

Just felt the need to corroborate with this with some raw numbers. Stuart and Ericsson are averaging the most PK time on the team right now, so it would stand to reason they would be on the ice for the most power play goals against, but compared to Lidstrom the numbers don't add up at all. Nick averages only a dozen seconds fewer PK time than Ericsson and about a full minute less than Stuart, but the disparity is obvious: 16 and 12 PPGA for Stuie and Rig respectively, and just 4 for Lidstrom. I realize in terms of the quality of a Dman there's Lidstrom, and then there's the rest, so perhaps this isn't as surprising as it might be if it was some other guy, but it's more reason I agree with you that Nick needs to see some more PK time, even at the expense of PP time (where he's not having a great start right now anyways).

Homer's cooled off but he has certainly contributed heavily at the start of the season; he's not going to be on all the time. Bert seemed like he was on the verge of being a threat early on and couldn't catch a break, but he's been straight up bad lately.

I don't know if dominated is the right word. They had three or four very good scoring chances (Leino breakaway, two on one) but it was a pretty tight game from both teams, they just couldn't finish. I can't remember the last time the Wings only scored 5 goals in 4 games, but they've got to start getting some goals. I guess a positive is they've only surrendered 10 goals in those 5 games, so that's not bad.

These guys seriously can't buy a goal. This is depressing.

Yeah, the Canadiens basically suffer nothing for his actions. The Wings are, as they would be anyways, the biggest losers in this disaster.

If I had to pick from TCU or Boise, it'd be TCU. However, barring the very unexpected (and there have certainly been unexpected final day finishes before, but I've got no crystal ball) the title game is going to be Texas/SEC champ without a doubt. Obviously there's still room for a BCS buster in a different bowl, though. Fingers crossed for another 07 Fiesta Bowl.
