Oh? You gave me one example of a player failing in a big situation and I provided a counter example.
-
I think it was, actually. Zetterberg also hit the crossbar in that game and Franzen couldn't beat Scuderi in the crease, those unlclutch SOBs.
-
Dohoho, Ozzie let in a bad goal in Game 7 of the SCF. He's hardly a clutch goalie in the playoffs.
-
Penalty shot on Kiprusoff and breakaway goal on Khabibulin last spring come to mind.
-
Good muscle from Bert.
-
Rosehill took a couple square in the face, I'm impressed with his fortitude. Stick tap to Brad too, of course.
-
Mickey droppin' mad science on the telestrator. Attaboy Mick.
-
Seeing that backside angle of the second goal is extra illuminating for Ritola. He's just floating in no-man's land staring down the play and doesn't move to Stahlberg until it's in the net.
-
Abdelkader-Draper-Ritola and Ericsson-Lebda on the ice for both goals against. Correction: Ericsson-Stuart for the first and Lebda-Kronwall for the second.
-
Awful call.
-
Oh, Brett.
-
Boo Rafalski pulling the shot. Great backdoor pass from Pavel.
-
Hank, Leino, Williams, Helm, Maltby. I don't know what number Eaves is wearing so he might be one of the handful of guys I don't recognize out there. All of the starting D is in.
-
Pretty close to the A-team in tonight.

This appears to be an exhaustive list of where you can find FSD+ anywhere in Michigan.

Brad May to Play on Friday (and Friday's Line Up)

I wasn't commenting on that at all. You can see what I quoted (and the preceding conversation between kidish and Doc Holiday) to get up to speed on our little tangent here. -
Brad May to Play on Friday (and Friday's Line Up)

The two times there were fights in the Anaheim series (Games 4 and 6), Detroit won the next game. Kopecky's fight occured just after Anaheim scored in Game 4 to cut Detroit's lead to 5-3 with ten minutes to go, but they weren't able to capitalize on any theoretical momentum from the tilt and didn't score again (Detroit made an ENG to seal the deal). EDIT: I forgot about the Ericsson-Perry fight in Game 1, which Ericsson won fairly soundly at the beginning of the second period, a game which Detroit also won. -
Nick's play style lends itself well to conserving energy. Even as he's getting older he still occasionally takes on 30 minute marathon games and I've never seen him huffing and puffing after a shift. So, considering the amount of talent he still has, I wouldn't take him off the PK.

Pretty confident the Wings can still put together three solid scoring lines, which was a luxury I was mostly sure was gone after last season. But the emergence of Leino and value deals on respectable wingers like Williams and Bertuzzi has kept the three deep scoring lines dream alive.

Not at all. It has been rescinded many times when non-fighters got emotional at the end of games. It really shouldn't be considered an automatic suspension at all considering all the undue controversy it causes, but the spirit of the rule is obvious. Malkin did not fit that profile in the slightest.

I agree, basically every game was close. Game 5 got away from Pittsburgh badly after a couple goals but until they started losing their heads, the outcome was very much in doubt.

Lidstrom selected as hockey's Athlete of the Decade
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Cruiser008's topic in General
Among players from all four major American sporting leagues I think there's a fair competition going between Lidstrom, Tom Brady, Albert Pujols (I would have also considered Barry Bonds or A-Rod but cool steroids bro), and Kobe Bryant. EDIT: I did not think about stuff like golf and tennis but Tiger and Federer are good ones too. I'll just say my choices are for team sports. -
He hurt his back getting out of his car; it was a freak injury. And frankly I don't know what you're talking about in regards to "not keeping his upper body up to Red Wings standards" anyhow.
-
Barry's plan made me laugh seeing as it's so simple compared to the rest. Move struggling American franchises North, Wings into the East, done.
-
I've got no problem with either of those guys, Thornton in particular is pretty even with Kovalchuk in terms of consistency, but Kovalchuk is definitely the best goal scorer of the bunch.
