Led them to an inspiring 1-1 tie after one.
-
You know what's a grand idea? Taking three penalties in the first ten minutes of a game.
-
It wasn't Iginla vs Lecavalier, but it was fun.
-
Cool story, bro.
-
What leads you to that conclusion? All of the retired Wings were great scorers in their day. None of the low scoring members of those teams have their numbers retired, and even some great players from that era haven't been given the honor (perhaps wrongfully so) like Red Kelly.

You can teach a guy to play defense. You can't teach someone to lead the league in scoring.
-
You're certainly entitled to that opinion, but considering three of the greatest villians in NHL history have donned the red and white after their bad reps had been established -- Ulf Samuelsson, Chris Chelios, Todd Bertuzzi -- the management and the locker room is obviously undaunted by any challenge.

After the 07 run I don't know how anyone could not love Dano. His freight train hit on Phaneuf and then assist on the goal, and his shorthanded bomb past Nabokov were two of my favorite moments in those playoffs.
-
I liked Cool Ray, but his contact was too big for what he was doing in Detroit in the cap world. He didn't get the ice time and didn't run the PP like he had in Columbus so his scoring suffered. Not that he was a bad player, but he was an easily replaceable cog in the Detroit machine.

I hella fell asleep during the second intermission, so everyone missed all the nasty things I would have said about the Sharks after the Ducks tied it in two seconds. The puck was under his pad and Marleau was jamming away at it, he probably would have knocked it in if Hiller hadn't done anything, but he tried to do something and it ticked off his skate and trickled in.
-
Heh, 10 minutes gone and no shots for Calgary yet.
-
Whatever dues he had to pay, he paid them fast. Missed the playoffs as a rookie, first round ouster next season, then a run to Finals. He's rolling again this season.
-
And the Lions draft a guy.
-
It's hailing outside.

Will the Wings add more grit to lineup?

*shrug* I just want them to win. If they're getting goals from the 4th line, that's good, and if they're getting big hits and tough play from the 4th line, that's OK too. Whatever brings in the Ws. -
Woulda picked up Oher personally. The line is the thing that needs the most improvement so I'm a bit surprised they didn't go there. Pettigrew seems like an alright pick.
-
Well, you choke away a 3-0 lead, you're probably gonna lose.
-
Ahhhh he had the empty net if he'd have gotten that pass.
-
He made the right play, he wouldn't likely get the shot through if he hadn't held on. But one of the Pens made a good diving play and got the puck off his stick.
-
Crosby to Franzen would be a good connection.
-
Been nice knowin' ya, pumpkins.

Ol' Villie didn't seem to have much trouble scoring on it. -
Sadly, the other winger on that line is Billy Guerin.

Jets fans are assholes, they boo'd everybody. EDIT: That's ridiculous, Heyward-Bey before Crabtree. If you want that guy, trade down. ******* Raiders.
