    A new netminder?

Then he ought to express them instead of clipping the whole essay to post an emoticon.

Schneider traded to Candiens for a 2nd and 3rd.

Decent deal to help them QB their second unit. Looking at the stats it doesn't look like they've got any blue liners out there of use on the PP besides Markov. Although Schneid's is only lookin' at 4-11-15 in 44 games with the Thrashers, but that's a pretty bad situation.

    I blame Crosby

    Hockey players are terrible people!

Whats the chances Hossa scores 50 this year?

I figure he won't stay as hot as he and finish in the low-to-mid 40s.

It is, like virtually any other stat, a team stat. The Wings have, historically, limited shots against. Inevitably they still surrender a few good chances and they are converted into goals, lowering any netminder's SV%, but still ultimately limiting goals against. This hasn't been the case this season with regards to lowering good scoring chances, but no matter. In my mind, the only thing these stats are useful for is trying to gauge the play of guys we don't watch night in and night out. Since we have the advantage of doing that Ozzie and Conks, we can determine their play a lot more accurately. And in doing that, here's what I've observed: Ozzie has struggled in many of his games, punctuated by a good effort here and there; Conklin has struggled in many of his games, punctuated by a really great game here and there. Ty impressed me for a brief stretch around the new year but overall I'm not extremely confident in either at this point.

He was non-committal or side stepped most of the questions completely. He said, "I thought we did a lot of good things but the bottom line is the puck ended up in our net." When asked about Oz he said, "We're all in this together, we win and lose as a team."

Well, regardless of the shootout, this one's on Oz.

Sigh @ shootout. Wings deserved this one in regulation. Let's get a win.

There's nothing they can do when they're put in a terrible position by a huge rebound that had no business being kicked out. Kronwall had Smyth tied up, the puck went into the net at 2mph, with Ozzie waaay on the edge of the crease.

He was in terrible position to shoot the puck and he crushed it, right into the roof. Lucky bounce, but a great shot.

Americans love football unconditionally, for whatever reason. Sports radio is all Lions, all year round. Check out the activity on articles on websites like mlive.com and it's apparent that no matter how terrible your team is, people lose their s*** for football.

Once they got that second goal it was like a whole different team. Suddenly skating and moving the puck and actually getting it on net. Crazy thing called momentum I guess.

Wings hemmed in their own zone? Guess the line! I agree. He's had a lot of goals where he's just let it rip from far away or along the goal line and it's fooled the goalie.

When I was a just a boy, it was a dream of mine that the Wings wouldn't give up at least one breakaway in every game of a season. We're still workin' on it.

Oh man, this is nuts. How can they be getting so many penalties like this? The Wings have just sprung to life.
