As does mine, which is one that you completely missed: Correlation does not mean causation.
-
San Jose wears teal and we lost. Period. See? I can do that too.
-
Well, there you go, Cards-Steelers. Now just talking about one game for fourteen days, when there's about 20 minutes of material to discuss. Too bad Ken Whisenhunt isn't black, we could be stuck hearing that TWO BLACK COACHES drone from Super Bowl 41. Maybe we'll get to hear about Whisenhunt TAKING ON HIS OLD TEAM, which doesn't mean jack s***, or how NOBODY GAVE THE CARDS A CHANCE, which was totally legit because they ******* sucked. In closing, I instantly despise the Super Bowl hype machine that hasn't churned out any bulls*** just yet.

Leading the Wings by 3 points in the standings half-way through a season!!! Either that, or head trauma.
-
Yes, with the clarity of a freeze-frame the play was obviously onside, but it looked so offside live it should've been whistled down anyways.
-
Not to hate on ol' Conker, but his only playoff experience was a rather embarrassing sixty seconds in the first game of the '06 SCF.
-
The Broken Record is back, Wings must have lost last night.
-
It is the greatest failure of the NHL that occasionally, the Red Wings lose a game. But if it makes any of you feel better, Boston is likely feeling inadequate as the Wings are today, having lost to their nearest Eastern Conference competitor, Washington, by a goal (2-1).
-
If I'm a linesman, I'm not sure whether or not I'd err on the side of caution with a play like that. Nevertheless, I'll take it to my grave that that goddamned goal was goddamned offside.
-
Is that really the reason you'd be upset after a loss to the Sharks? Come on, now. I know all the points are important yadda yadda yadda but there's a million and one games to go, every game isn't a big one like this one was, but they're all worth the same amount of points. It was frustrating at times but it was enjoyable overall precisely because of how (in the grand scheme of a season) pointless it was. Drops in a bucket. If this were a playoff game I'd be feeling quite differently, but there's a looong way between then and now.

Well, in any event, it was an exciting game to watch. It's too bad we didn't end up on the right side of it, but not a bad two and a half hours of my life. I'm sure we can all express our collective disappointment in Osgood and the defense for their late game letdown, but we still only lost the game by a goal. Both teams were very good, I'd watch them play each other again anytime.

Also, to all you people defending that goddamned offside goal, don't. It's not the D's job to defend some knob dicking around over your blue line when the play is down ice.

Where there's a will...

That Marleau breakaway was goddamned offside.

The f***ign f***????: Offf***ingside

Man, that would've been madness if Pavel coulda pulled that off.
-
Upon further review, that's Stuart and Flipper not being on the same page.
-
And that's a tough break.
-
Funny you say that, I thought they had a decent shift. If virtually nothing happens on the ice, good or bad, then the fourth line has done its job of giving Datsyuk a breather (if he needs one, friggin' robot).
-
Franzen with "lower body injury."
-
They don't ask how, just how many?
-
Looks like a Shark is getting an extra minor for that end of the period scrum, Wings PP to start the third.

I don't want to harp on Ozzie's struggles or anything, but certainly you see where folks are coming from on this. I can live with the team giving up two and three goals a night; that's hockey, it's gonna happen. It's much harder to reconcile surrendering one or two soft goals any given game, and that's the problem right now.
