Who said Hossa was going to give a discount? He likes it in Detroit, who doesn't, a winning organization and attitude are great, that doesn't mean he's not looking to get paid.
-
The more players performing well, the better. The defense has stepped it back up (disregarding that aberration in Texas) and the goaltending has improved too. I've been very impressed with Conklin lately.

Helm, Meech, and All Other Young Red Wings

When the salaries are paid and the roster movement is freed up in the playoffs I don't doubt Helm will be the first guy back into the line up. -
Summer 2010: Use Lidstrom's cap space to sign Luongo?

He'd probably be looking for a seven-eight million and year deal. That's a pretty huge investment for a team that has gotten tons and tons of mileage out of cheap goalies. I agree that whenever Nick retires, the first priority is bringing in another top defenseman. -
Proof positive professional athletes read Internet message boards. Not too late to pick it back up, fourth line.

Shanny's a pretty funny guy, he used to be a good interview.

I can just envision it now, Getzlaf gracefully skating by big ol' Sheldon as he desperately lunges for the puck like a complete tool.

I question the credibility of this source. -
How's it goin' new desktop.

Well, he's nothing to write home about, but Hudler's decent defensively. Not that I endorse stars that can't play defense, but speaking strictly in terms of more ice time = more points it doesn't matter all that much anyways. I have a hard time believing a pro athlete like Jiri couldn't handle 2-3 more minutes a night.

Nah.

I don't necessarily think the effort wasn't there in the first, the Ducks are good team and they were definitely playing hard. The biggest thing to me is that they went into the room and sorted it out and got back out there and took it to them. They didn't wait til there was ten minutes left in the third to turn it on and win; to be honest the Wings should have ran away with this one, but Giguere was very, very good.
-
Just talked to Mike about it in postgame, said he benched him.
-
You're right, Draper did not have a single shift in the third, Kopecky had one, Lebda was also benched and Meech moved to D in his stead. Undoubtedly, Babcock feels as we do on this 4th line situation.

Wow! Talk about redeeming yourself in the end, Oz!!!

Nice ******* non-call you dips*** zebras.

Gary Thorne's magnificent voice calling Roy's Statue of Libery goal, Game 6 2002 WCFs.
-
The Wings would do well to learn from their mistake in Dallas and keep the foot on the gas with a mid-third, one goal lead...
-
I wish Franzen was shorter.

Twenty bucks says the Ducks' orders are to shut it down and force the Wings to really get after it and beat them for the final ten minutes.
-
Another crack at it. Goal time.
-
I didn't identify who it was but that was absolutely not Hudler's fault. Someone got caught pinching and Hudler was flat footed.
-
Was that Rafalski that got caught? Bad decision leads to a Ducks PP.
