Ok, two things: 1.) Different hockey "back then?" You mean five years ago? How was goaltending different back then? Were they still using stand up in the good ole days grandpa? 2.) I utterly defy you to say that Hasek wasn't the man in the 2007 playoffs. Here I am, defying you.

I hate to harp on Ozzie's bad goal, but with each team controlling a period the balance of the game is in favor of the Ducks, and Giguere has made several excellent stops on prime scoring chances. Goaltending has been the difference.

I'm with you BlueMonk... It's a strange day when I don't feel excited seeing Hank with the puck, but right now I genuinely don't. It seems like he's got no jump out there, or something... I'm not sure what to make of it.

Needless to say, the Ducks were much better than the Wings through 20. They were skating circles around our defense and that same defense was busy staring at the puck instead of taking the man. The good news is, it's only a one goal deficit.

Unless that extra ice time were on the PK, I'd say that's a pretty sound assumption. Points don't scale linearly with ice time, but they obviously do scale.
