Lately referees seem to be struggling with the basic concepts behind icing.

I am here now. Train is the second coming of #4 Bobby Orr, and there can be no other declaration on this. Great rush, great pass, great goal. Solid period overall.

Uh, the argument is predicated on there being a logjam at defense, so by his rationale the Wings did what they had to do. Not "throw away any player that doesn't put up a lot of points," which is a bizarre assumption to make. -
Good players are good, upon this I cannot disagree.

I had a brief moment of excitement seeing the puck intercepted at the blue line, promptly dashed by seeing McCarty and his floating wrister to the goalie's chest.
