Only way Ozzie stops that is if Jokinen hits him. He had the whole top of the net and the short side to work with on the cross ice feed. Kronwall left him wide open, the forward had the right point covered so he had nothing to do other than take Jokinen instead of standing in space defending no one.

Worth noting that Florida teams have been very bad for a lot longer time than they've been any good.

It would be delightful for the Wings to seal an EN goal every once in a while instead of hanging on for dear life in the final minute of close games. I predict that the shock of the Lightning stands no chance against the Wings' wonderwall.

Mildly related, from Darren Dreger: Audible sigh @ bold. Besides the fact that the man has been with the organization forever, just won a Cup, and is still signed through 2011, I guess Darren has a good case. Tsk tsk at these silly rumors being promoted by the authority.

With regards to how to get the team back on track: Lose in embarrassing fashion in a highly touted early season match up, I hope. EDIT: Zoop, the posts did not merge as I had anticipated.

He has a damn good rapport with Franzen, but not much opportunity to make good due to injuries.

Five months ago, my money is Ozzie snags 3 or 4 of those pucks. He was in a zone then and he's not right now. But frankly, with the talent the Wings have and what they're capable of on both sides of the puck, there's no excuse to need to rely on him to be hot or steal any games for us.
