Through thick and thin, he has been my brother. He will forge on a new path towards his destiny, to whatever end fate decides. Best of luck, Bob. Know that you will always be my friend.

For a season without expectations, these were the Wings that exceeded them. Be proud of yourselves - your fans will always remember you. Congratulations on a great 2007, Detroit Red Wings!

Sooo, are you going to watch the Stanley Cup Finals?
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Barrie's topic in General
Much the same as every year, I'll watch the Finals, Wings or no. -
******* righteous. Enough with this bulls***. They lost and it had nothing to do with effort given. As much as people hate to admit, there is more than just the Wings that can beat the Wings...
-
To the men who gave it their all, no matter the outcome, I give thanks. You were a great team and I loved watching you this season. 100 games, give or take, have flashed before my eyes as this season has come and gone. Ups and downs, injuries and comebacks and surprises. It's all hockey and I love that too. Hank's hot streak, Dom's domination, Norris Nick, and Lucky Lang; all of it unforgettable. It is because of that.... even in this grim hour... I celebrate our champions.

What the Wings must do to wing a championship next yr....
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to wings_fan_5's topic in General
Yes, let an offseason of doubt and uncertainty begin, where there is no doubt and there are no uncertainties. But hey, let the talkers talk. We will carry on regardless... -
Hunger's got nothing to do with it. This Wings team is as hungry as ever, playing their guts out every night. That doesn't always equal a win, especially when you're going up against another good team. What can you do other than play hard and give it your all?

Flip, your Bob carries a far more devious look than hers by a great many orders of magnitude. Look at that knowing smile - what mischief is he about to cause?
-
Just got off the phone with Bob. His words: "Guys, Robert Lang wants to thank you for using his pretty face all over Interweb dot com and saying nice things about him. Sometimes, fans get mad and say 'Why does Lang stop skating, you know?' And sometimes I go out to Cheeburger Cheeburger before de game, you know, and then I take nap afterwards and have a good time and then I'm like 'Crap! De game!' So I turn it on to see how we're doing. I think coach is pissed at me, but then Robert Lang is totally good for 15 seconds and he tie the game, you know, so we all love Robert Lang again. Please keep cheering for Lang because he hear from reliable source: Cheering for Lang = guaranteed win. Thank you for your time and support!" Confidence, thy name is Bobbert.

I'm sorry about rezing this thread for this stupid reason - I apologize. Are we still cool? Okay: Are you serious, lady? It's time to get you cultured! You gotta swing by your local Blockbuster or Family Video or whatever you got and pick this thing up. It'll be lying around in the bargain bin for like two stupid bucks. YOU'LL THANK ME LATER. -

WCF Game 6 (5/22) GDT: Red Wings @ Ducks - 9 PM ET
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to aflac9262's topic in General
UNINTENTIONAL HUMOR THEATER: Yes, Paul Coffey will be in the building tonight. No, not at the Ponda (though I guess there's a chance?), but across the back of one Red Wings fan in his Michigan residence at approx. 9PM tonight. That's right. Dusting off #77 - for the first time this season - as reinforcements for the fight. Decided just now when I read that (sorry McLean, no love for you). With the spirit of Coffey pumping through his veins, I agree that Brett is gonna have a hell of a night. They might win and they might lose, but no matter what happens I know we'll be proud to say we were all RED WINGS together, on the eve of the glorious last stand of the Winged Wheel. GO WINGS GO! -
Bertuzzi Update (1:37pm): Game-time decision

Shall I offer the stock answer of "adversity?" Very well then... -
Never has someone been more facetious than DaKine when he was typing up that response, KP.
-
Offsides, all of those Lang AVs are beautiful, but now is the time for the old standby to be dusted off and brought back into commission for one glorious last stand: PIP PIP!

Anyone else aggravated with lack of accountability?
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to KronwallCRUNCH's topic in General
Mike is professional; he wouldn't call out the team in public. But make no mistake - this guy is a huge reason we've made it this far this season. -
I wouldn't worry about that guy, I'm sure he'll be taking his leave from us soon enough.
-
Should we just call him Steve Smith?
-
Admittedly, I had to look this woman up after your mention and, well: holy moly. One can certainly hope.

I wanted to learn more about this "NHL" so I went ahead and Googled "piece of crap" - I kinda figured they were synonymous by the way the author was relating them. Let me tell you: BAD IDEA. Don't even think about it.

Listen. After Tuesday the headlines on TSN.ca will read "Seventh Heaven!" That's why I'd put there, anyways. Not that I'd call the Joe heavenly or anything; place is a goddamn dump. But anyways: How clever is ^^^ that? Huh? I may have found my calling, in fact. Headline writer.
