You didn't see him turn the puck over with three minutes to go instead of chipping it out, and taking a lame hooking penalty as a result? I know you saw him in the box while the Ducks buzzed around our net. Try remembering a bit before then.

Yeah, that Penner save was one for the ages. Wings lose if he doesn't make a miraculous grab there, I tells ya.

Oh, let's talk about Lang. Let's talk about turning over the puck at your blueline and putting your team on the PK with 3 minutes to go in a one goal game. Let's talk about lazy hooking penalties instead of easy chips and clears. Seriously, this guy has got to pull his head out of his ass. Any time he's on the ice in the dying minutes of a game I cringe (even when he nets the tying goal).

YES. Hasek was amazing. Give this man some awards. What a performance. The Wings owe Hasek, big time. So intense. Far greater intensity and apprehension in this one than both two previous series combined. ZDH line was incredible. The refereeing equally so, in an inverse way. What a win. I'm in awe of this game. So awesome.

Thoughts after one: Good period. We're winning, playing the same physical Wings hockey we're all suddenly used to, and PKing like champs. The Dominator has come to play. Still, too many penalties. Don't wanna go back to the "Good PK" well too often. -

As far as this series goes, I don't think nationality means squat. All of these guys are gamers and want to win, no matter where they're from. All of the Europeans on the Wings have raised their game; played bigger and more physical than during the season, scored bigger goals and made bigger plays.
