Nah, Clemens all the way. Flying him in for the third. Got a cannon. Hullie blasts refs for their s*** call that led to the Drury goal.
-
The end is near.
-
Lame call.

What a period.

The population of Pominville goes up by one.

Kalinin with the tying shot. Pierre says the Rangers' goalie's name like a tard. "Lewndqvist."

I like it when Brett basically tells Ray to piss off because he wasn't as good a player. Looks like they're actually getting along today?

Schneider: OUT with Broken Wrist
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Canadian_Yzerman_Fan's topic in General
Well, I've already got something lined up if the Wings move on to face the Ducks, but I'll tell ya what: next big goal that Bob scores will be met with Victoly! and Fanciness from me. -
Schneider: OUT with Broken Wrist

Just haaaaad to be Bob for slot 6, didn't it? -
The funny thing is is that all goals are reviewed, but only ones that are even questionable are subject to lengthy review. There wasn't even any question about Hank's goal. What's even funnier is if you read the TSN comments after Game 4, some Sharks fans were complaining that Schneider's OT winner wasn't in either and should have been reviewed (which it was, as was explained).

Ahh, that makes sense. My bad.

Goalie situation seemed to be in good shape when the namesake of this thread was turned inside out last night by none other than Milan Michalek late in the third.

It's tough to find a lot of nice things to say about the 2003-2006 Red Wings... Soft, weak-willed, chokers... I like the 2007 Wings much better. Gritty, determined, suffocating, clutch. That's playoff hockey.

If Cheli goes down, god forbid, it will be time to engage Total & Complete Panic Mode. I have no interest in activating that worrisome function. Stay healthy, Chris!

Homer's return has been the death knell of the Sharks. It's no coincidence the Wings have had 4 PPGs in the two games since his return. Losing Matt hurts, but if the ZDH line stays hot it will significantly lessen the blow. There's the power play. Draper and Cleary are just fiends PKing up front, and Cheli is Cheli out back. The 9-4 holocaust of January is quickly forgotten as the fading Sharks power play stays in its slump.

Samuelsson - Time to give the guy some kudos

Nothing but love for Sam on this fine day. -
I saw this photo on TSN's front page, and, noticing Lidstrom's C juxtaposed to Thornton's A, got the wheels in the ol' noodle cranking. What do the Sharks fans around here think about Patrick Marleau as captain? I know he's been criticized as Mr. Mellow, as opposed to Big Joe (just one example I'm using) who plays a big tough game and seems a bit like a prickly fellow, and has been far and away the better player in their tenure together. When he first came over to the Sharks he had a sour rep from his captaincy in Boston, and it would've been plain bad form to suddenly strip the C from Marleau besides, but that was then and this is now. Obviously nothing would be done this season, but maybe next year, what do you guys think about Joe (or some other guy; again, just using Thornton as an example) seizing the reins?
