Hmmmm... The article doesn't even mention Train except to say he angled his head perfectly for the re-direct goal against... What's with the title? Anydangway, I've been so happy and so proud of the Pain Train since his big turn around late this season. He's finally developed into that solid stay-at-home Dman who makes smart plays, uses his big frame, and blocks shots. Now if he can just nail a goal (JUST ONE!) his playoffs will be nearly complete.

Could it be? Barnesy on board with the Wings? Look out world! That's the final piece of the puzzle! Just havin' a little fun with ya, RB!. It's taken a year for Mike to seize the reins and really make it his team, but I think he's done a reasonable good job in getting the most out of this bunch.

So very thankful for Tomas' health. He's a tough cookie. A bit useless in these playoffs for some reason, but I knew after he got railed by that shot that he'd be OK after some repairs. Yuck!

Closing thoughts before bedtime: That puck over the glass penalty is still dumb as hell. We caught the good bounce this time (and I guess you could say San Jose had their chance, if you want), but you just never know. I'll be glad to see it gone. Finally, I like these quotes from Babcock. This: I mentioned this earlier, that it's not just Team A miraculously playing poorly mid game and Team B benefiting from the other's "lack of heart." These are two top-notch squads in a power struggle, each exerting their will on the other and making that other look bad at different points in each game. And this: Dominik Hasek is the man, and the Paralyzed Snow Angel of Defeat rules. He's been everything that was advertised: dominant goaltending, wild flops and dives, clutch saves, terrible puck-handling. Bellissimo.

'Tis sad, when I cannot even ID my own brother! Bob, my heartfelt apologies - for this, and all other trespasses against your righteous and noble person.

Kyle's no Mario; that broken hand looks to have done him in. Time for a breather.

God... do you guys realize how close they were to losing this game? That empty net and that blocked shot, there's just one point in the season, one play, that turns everything on its ear, that gives the Wings life and the ability to win this series. I'm in awe of it, really. What a game. Mad props to the Paralyzed Snow Angel of Defeat for its timeliness and effectiveness in helping tie the series, the Demolition Man for giving the Wings the boost they needed, Bob for being a stupid bum who scores big goals, and Matt for taking dumb penalties but then nailing the OT winner. On this day, I love you all.

Sorry I wasn't up ins, managing a stupid windowed computer box thing and a chat was too much of hassle. Being on a delayed feed pretty much KO'd my ability to handle the up-to-the-second world of that hyper-chat. Rest assured, Games 5, 6, 7* will be from the comfort of my TV and laptop. *IF NECESSARY SON

So I think we can safely conclude that the return of Homer was as enormous as it was made out to be. Now let's just hope he's AOK.
-
Sorry, I misunderstood. Offsides, is that Bob in the #6 slot? Can't quite tell.

I'll take "A Total Bum, But Good In The Clutch." That's not terrible. He can keep doing that all playoffs long.
-
Grypho, that is a hideous picture. Also: I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts and the time you've spent here. Your contributions far and away exceed those expected of a visiting fan. I tip my hat to you, good sir. On topic: Yep, good game. I think all of games in this series (viewed 2-4) have been pretty primo. Never did give up; bend, don't break, that's gotta be the philosophy in playoff hockey. Here's to three more clean, hard fought games (or less)...
-
Uh... no. One was the biggest, most flukiest goal in the history of forever. The other was a surprisingly skilled play from that lazy sumbitch.
-
Matt feels the wrath of excessive traffic after a glorious OT win. Awesome win. Samadelphia: YOU FAIL. Wings = world beaters. Most awesome/stupid part: I missed the Homer and Schneider goals because of my TVU garbage box glitching. Guess missing out reallyi isn't missing out after all?
