TSN reporting Lebda has suffered concussion
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to omnipotent_hudler's topic in General
Tangstoiggy, is that you? -
No rough stuff today, killer.
-
That should force Game 7.

Seem awfully sure of yourself. It looked like Zyuzin touched it on the NBC replay. -
Yup. Nick, Pavel, and Draper have all been excellent, but none of them are on Cleary's level yet. He's playing waaay above his ability; it's all heart and hard work. I love him. DO YOU HEAR ME DAN?? SWEEEET LUUUUUV.

I'm assume you're intelligent enough to discern the difference between a botched hip check and a sucker punch, cross check, and two hander across the chest. One is an accident, the others are very blatant attempts to injure. Lebda was unpenalized, two of the three Calgary plays were penalized (and Langkow certainly would have as well had the referees seen him). McLennan received an intent to injure penalty, for crying out loud. There's no comparison. -
Did anyone else just hear Hughson say someone "Smeagled" away from their check along the boards?

Just scroll down to the bottom, goals are highlighted. Zyuzin, twelve feet in front of the net, tip in. That was the goal. The only player that could be was the guy you're thinking of standing in front of Hasek waving his stick at the puck. -

No, the player in front Zyuzin (how did the Dman get all the way up there? No idea) tipped it. Proof, if you want it. It was close, although the angles on NBC were brutal. I agree it was a goal, if only for it being inconclusive against the refs call on the ice. -
Borderline? Recent? This is all vintage Don: blatant xenophobe that loves Canada and its teams.

I just saw the replay on Coach's Corner, McLennan took two wacks at Franzen before he got hit in head (which, to note, Franzen did while tied up with a Dman, back to the net). He was on a mission. -

Are you kidding? All they care about are results. How many potentially season ending slashes, knee-on-knee hits, and charges are ignored every season because the victim was lucky enough to get out unscathed (or the attacker missed, same thing in my book)? -
Coaching, eh? You think Trotz's days in Nashville are numbered?
-
Yep, I'm in.

Lebda is barely out there on the power play anyhow; maybe just in the dying moments or in garbage time. Lidstrom, Schneider, Samuelsson has been our rotation. -

Langkow ought to get the Tootoo treatment. Even then, Jordin was at least trying to defend himself (in a pitiful, disgusting way). Langkow has no excuse. -
I love Edmonton fans rooting for Detroit. It's cool, the Oil are and were light years classier than the Flames, even when they had Cap'n Cross-check (that's Pronger for the uninitiated) on board.

Baseball swing to the chest, 'tis nothing, eh? Please, provide examples of Kipper being run. I've already got a reply floating around in this thread: "How many times has Kipper been 'run?' Cleary's Earth-Shattering nudge in Game 2? Maltby getting shoved onto him today? Kipper's been well protected and unmolested for the duration of this series."
-
Don't go troll the Flames board guys... They're pissed, we're pissed, it's bad mojo.

All I can say is: Payback's a *****. If the Wings are as furious as I am after this win, they should out for blood tomorrow. -

I would not object to Josh Langfeld mysteriously appearing into the line up, his bulls eye targeting one Miikka Kiprusoff, if the proper suspensions are not handed out (they won't be). -
Game 5: (4/21) Flames @ Red Wings - 3:00 PM ET

Despite deserving it, I seriously doubt he faces suspension. If he did, who cares? We advance, they go home (which will happen anyways). They can cry into their beers that Captain Crybaby threw a tantrum and got his dumb ass tossed. -

Are there bigger crybaby ***** sore losers in hockey than the Flames, led by none other than Captain Crybaby (Visor) Iginla? What a pack of tantrum throwing girls. They don't deserve to be in contention for Lord Stanley's Cup after that display. Solid win by the Wings. Dan Cleary may very well be the Wings' MVP of this series.
