#37 McAmmond at the side of the net rammed it in before Preissing was shoved into the cage.

You aren't in the crew if you aren't rolling with the crew! Stick around, stay awhile. The more the merrier! Good to see you aboard, DaKine.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

I was just thinking, man, he wouldn't even be playing if Nik hadn't gotten hurt. Hockey is weird. Agreed. I'll eat some crow on Matt. I was all over his case for some of his bonehead s*** from last year's playoffs (he's not exactly mistake free as today's blatant interference call illustrates), but for these first two games he's been awesome, hitting and scoring. Did you major in physics?

Anthems rolling in Pittsburgh. Form up, crew! Apparently some of the people in the Mellon booed the Canadian anthem. I wasn't really paying attention, but CBC's guy just mentioned it. :nonono: Roberts again tormenting the Sens.

I especially like the way Bob refers to himself in the third person. He would so do that.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

I would like to devote this post to the one true hockey player on this team, the guy who's taken his game to another level and been nothing but solid since his arrival against Anaheim, THE TRAIN!!! CHOO CHOOO!!! Seriously. I have nothing but nice things to say about Lilja. He hasn't goofed up once, hit, blocked shots, just been a genuinely great 6th D-man. I'm so proud of him, it's like the Train's grown up right before our very eyes. That game against the Ducks really did wonders for our little man.

NFM is a solid dude. If he wants to run with the Crew, it's coo.

So long as Shanny and Stevie stay healthy, we'll be cruisin'. Kidding... ominous warning from the past noted.

Why don't we just let Bert sit?

Ok, and I agree. Doesn't it strike you as something that would be incredibly dumb to do, anyways? How does putting Sammy in ahead of Flip or Rex make any sense at all? Mike loves vets, that's OK, but at some point you just have to recognize that tenure doesn't mean s*** if you aren't doing anything. Gah! I feel like it's mid-season again and we're still having the Hudler Wars!

Have I mentioned that you're an artist? We should write movies together.

Why don't we just let Bert sit?

I disagree. Have you seen the "passes" Sammy's been making lately? Forget it. There's no comparison. And no matter how little an advantage you think is lost by his sitting, it still doesn't make sense to lose that advantage.

Why don't we just let Bert sit?

I dare you to look me in the eyes (I'll catch a flight) and tell me that you think Sammy has or will be more effective than Rex.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

Being at home will give Calgary a chance to get Iginla loose without Lidstrom dominating him every shift. We'll see if he becomes a factor.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

At least they're not just flinging useless rubber at the net (Sammy notwithstanding). They're getting bodies in the crease and making life miserable for Kipper. He might be the very best in the league, and that's why it's been close, but I don't think he can keep facing upwards of 45 shots a game and stay in it. Wings are going to grind him and the Flames down if they can keep it up.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

Right, I wanted to see the Wings bury those f***ers with ~5 to go and two men up. They were only one for three today, I'd like to see that percentage go up.

Three lines. Lang's line hasn't done s***. Bert ought to change that when he gets back on board.

I am here to take it to the limit.

    GAME 2: (4/15) Flames @ Red Wings

2 GA, 1.00 GAA (give or take for bench time on delayed penalties). Right. Both goalies have played extremely well and pretty much stopped everything they've seen. It's just that Kipper has seen much, much more. Quality of team, not quality of goaltending issue.

Why don't we just let Bert sit?

If Sammy sits, absolutely. Mike would be the dumbest motherf***er on the planet to split up Franzen-Flip-Hudler.

    valteri filppulla

Yup, he was Mr. Playoffs. Small, quiet, don't really notice him, until he notches an OT GWG...

Wow, after the shellacking they delivered in Game 1 you'd think... These prices really just aren't getting it done in this town.

    Johan Franzen

He's been our best player after Pavel and Nick, in my opinion.
