It was definitely an interesting choice. Brylin goes 1 for 8 on the eyar. Madden, who scored two goals and has been their shootout ace, 4 for 6, was not selected.

At ease killer, I wasn't referring to your post that much at all. I was complaining about matinée games in general, how the Wings usually suck in them, but how the league loves to have them on TV during those hours anyways.

Ain't that the truth. Remember when the Wings sat the Swedes after the Olympics, essentially throwing the game against San Jose for very practical reasons, and some writer tried to stir some s*** up saying how upset Anaheim should be if they miss the playoff because of it? What a joke.

Very nice wrist shot, good power play guy. Not very much else going on. For all the s*** Sammy catches around here for his play, one thing he is is defensively responsible.

Which is true, but the great players usually perform anyhow. Why do you think Pavel catches so much s***? Whether or not he frees up guys like Lang, he still has to score. Which isn't exactly the same for Iginla, who scores like crazy against everyone else. Wings have his number, is all. Not including the other ways he contributes, like hitting, leading, and fighting, anyways.

Proof positive you don't watch the games (or you're as forgetful as you are stupid, either way). I can't speak for Hasek's all-time record against the Predators (which I'm sure is tremendous) but he's 3-0 against them this season.

Iginla's never been s*** against the Wings. Very consistently shut down. It's everyone else that wreaks havoc.

Gah, shoulda woke up early. I thought I heard something this morning though, sounded kinda like a PAIN TRAIN rumbling in the distance, and disgusting squeals of agony (perhaps the lament of his enemies?). Could have just as easily been nothing. -
