There's nothing to be confused about; you said it yourself, he doesn't write the headlines. Does he talk about Dom's mistake? Absolutely, it was a huge part of this game. Does he say that it was the reason for the Wings' loss? Not anywhere, because that would be wrong and he knows it. All that happened is that Mike acknowledged Hasek's embelishment, other people (Ansar Khan, in this case) took it to mean that he was placing blame, but the connection's not there.
-
That's not true, loo. Nowhere does Babcock pin the loss on Hasek. But his dive was a major point of interest and turning point in the game, it was inevitable it would be brought up. All Mike did was offer his analysis of it. I'm sure attention grabbing headlines like "Babcock blames Hasek's theatrics for loss" are bothering you, but they're saying thing that Mike never did.

Datsyuk proving he can score without Zetterberg

A.) Whatever. B.) Wrong. What exactly is it that you call this, then, Barnsey? "It seems like Russian players are only motivated by 'money', they really don't play with any real intensity, unless there is $$$'s involved." -
Excitement, apprehension, growing.

Blues just got screwed...big time

This is how I understand the situations to be different: Wings in Phoenix: Hank jams the crease, no one can tell that he's scored, play continues until a whistle. After the first whistle, before another puck drop, play is reviewed, good goal. Blues-Sens: Gerber appears to make a save, the whistle is blown no replay is initiated. The puck is dropped again and play is resumed. Later, it's discovered that it was a goal, but the puck's already been dropped, there's already been a whistle (made after the "save") where no replay was initiated. -

I doubt anyone here would question Mr. McGeough's dubious honor as Worst Referee In Sports... Just upholding his title. -
Seriously, I thought I was looking through a time machine into 2004. Hey guys, clutching and grabbing are back! Yuck, what an awful game. I seriously can't think of a single good thing about this one. I'll be happy to forget it, that's for sure.

God, this game pissed me off. I have no nice things to say about anyone or anything right now. Grrrrr.

God, this so ******* reminds me of 2004. Was it Game 5? I think it was, and of course the Flames didn't get rung up for a single penalty even though they were playing even rougher hockey than they are tonight. Mick couldn't believe it then, I can't believe it not. These zebra motherf***ers have some make up work to do.
-
This game is officially horses***. Why even bother wearing the neutral black and white? Throw the red and black on them if you're not even going to try.
-
I seen Calgary make that cross-check ten times tonight. What the f***...
-
Gah! Matt just pulled it. Calder couldn't stuff... SO CLOSE!
-
Flames still have the Wings on their heels.
-
Can we buy a PP? Pretty please?
-
Cool!
-
I'd say he's faced one quality scoring chance, Markov on the 2-on-1, and otherwise has been untested. So, no.
-
The Flames forecheck, per usual, is giving the Wings fits, and that's definitely the book on us. Lucky to be down only one. Post, couple nice saves, could be a different situation. Looked decent at the end, though.

A goaltending option for next year that no one has really talked about

Not to bust your balls, but the correct answer is: No, and neither has Kenny. Just ignore motorcitykid, he's on one of his lame "no wai how culd hollend no trde 4 lango yzermen gm plz" rants like always. -
Not a clue... but if I had a guess 17 seems pretty popular. Calder, Hull, Brown, Gallant... EDIT: With great swiftness I am proven wrong!
