Gary Bettman will be on at 4

Man, I was on your case the other day trying to defend his position and then and Bettman serves up this stinker. Well, anyways, you've won me over. Let's go storm the castle and put this clown under the guillotine. Honestly, he could at least acknowledge that, yes, fans in Detroit want to be in the East, there are no rivalries in the West, and that it just may not happen for business related reasons. Ay ay ay.

Ladies, gentlemen, banish your fears to the dark realms from whence they came. I am now in the GDT. Snoozer of a game so far.

It is either a mistake in a fictional story about me and a professional athlete or me and Bob just went there this morning to fish so there. I will leave it to the good judgment of the reader to decide which option is the truth!

3/9 GDT: Kings @ Red Wings

With Bob starting to regain his focus, we decided to go chillax down by the peer in LA and do some fishing. There was anything but chillaxing involved, as it would turn out. I wasn't even paying attention to the guy, but he was keeping score. And he was losing badly. Eventually I turn and wonder aloud how much he's caught, and he floats some absurd number that puts my BS Meter in the red right away. So I called him on it. Bad plan. He was soooo pissed, he immediately challenged me to a duel, right then, right there. So in glorious combat, I beat him with my fishing rod and went back to fishing. All in all, a peaceful morning on a pier in Los Angeles.

    TSN.Ca power ranking

Injuries weigh significantly into Cullen's formula... They have their place in power rankings, but overall performance ought to be the biggest and most important factor, and the Wings have not disappointed as of late.

Just thought of a fun game

It was sent to the Other Sports forum and merged with a thread on the very same topic. Here's the thread in question.

I'm pretty sure what he's saying is he roots for this: And not this:

    Datsyuk Negotiations

I wasn't applying lazy to Kirk, but honestly he's been worse now than at any point in his Detroit career. He looked like his old self a couple days games ago but he had a terrible game against Nashville. Calder notwithstanding, he's got our worst +/-, doesn't score anymore, and only very rarely agitates like he used to. I'd just as well let him go at seasons end and let some youth fill that role. Which is precisely what I said... not that we could move him anyhow.

    Datsyuk Negotiations

For Lang and Maltby: too old, ineffective, lazy, whatever. I hope they kick ass this spring and then go find another town where they can ply their trade. Schneider: Kronwall. Datsyuk: I'd rather risk overpaying this summer than getting a good deal now and it turning out to be bad news when Pavel can't get it done. Tons of faith to your bro, for real, but past returns do indicate a trend and that's no good.

    Johan Franzen

I disagree to a point. You may remember at the start of the year Franzen was on a scoring line, and he was on the second power play unit playing Homer's role. The line was Franzen-Datsyuk-Willy, and later I think he got moved down to Lang's line when all the scoring dried up. After that Dan Cleary emerged as a scoring threat, and the rest was history. So it's not correct to say that he hasn't been given a chance. The thing about it was, the whole team was pretty much collectively snake-bitten in the early going. So now he's been given another chance due to injuries, and it's actually the perfect time for him to come back into the scorer's role, if you ask me.

    HAHAHAHAHa

No definitive answer, but he mentions Germans in there, so he's talking about ol' Uwe. Probably '99.

    The Love Thread

This thread is for some much needed Wings-lovin'. I would like to announce (as I have many times previously) with gusto that sliced bread better watch out, Kyle Calder is in town. I thought I knew what working hard meant: I just tried to work as hard as Kyle and I pulled my groin. Franzen gets some love too for logging 26 minutes (WTF?!) tonight and doin' it in style. Lang is the biggest bum on the face of the Earth. But at least he put up a pair of points tonight. Mild love for Robert. Spread the love, guys.

    Getting Anxious

I think you're confused about the meaning of enforcer, viperar. Bertuzzi's no fighter (which is what the term brings to mind). Hopefully he can lay out some thunderous body checks, but at no point is Bertuzzi in Detroit to enforce anything.
