Just one more reason why ol' Josh isn't an NHLer. Works hard, no talent.
-
The bum catches a break. Attaboy, Bob.
-
Is it too early to break out the Griffs logo?
-
I can think of no better reason. Bob wanted to get a better feel for the opponent tonight, and they being the Blackhawks and all we decided to go and visit an old Indian mystic. Things were going good until he broke out the "Peace Pipe." I don't want to say he got completely and totally stoned, but Bob is wholly and irreversibly baked. Honestly, it should improve his game for tonight. At least he'll be having fun out there for a change.

Top line's only the top line until they have a bad night... then Mike starts pulling names out of a hat until something sticks. We may yet see Todd with the dynamic duo... -
Bertuzzi impresses Babcock in first practice
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Louisville's topic in General
By pure coincidence, Betruzzi plays on the top line of my NHL2K team (Lang to Vancouver straight up). I am quite accustomed to his wearing the winged wheel. Looks good on 'im. He did always seem to have dopey looking cross eyes, though. -
There must be some hall of fame out there that we can place this in.
-
Dallas, obviously. But look at the standings right now: Detroit, Anaheim, and Nashville are the ONLY three teams in the West that have pulled away somewhat. If we talk standings straight up for a second (that is, divisonal seeding notwithstanding), the difference between fourth and eighth place is literally three points. No matter if we finish first or fourth in the West, we have pretty much an equal shot at facing any of these teams. It's a roulette, and our winning pick is Dallas; we might be in some trouble if we land on San Jose.
-
Now if only you can convince Greenstin of that, we're in business.
-
He's confusing Howard for Joey Mac.

Why do Blues fans hate the Redwings so much?

Steve KO'd Pronger with his butt? That's one hell of a captain we had! EDIT: Of course, you're right. But he was just trying to get out of the way. It's not like he strategically placed his ass in there to wreck Chris's knee. -
Boooo creepy foot doctor.
-
From the greasy bowels of Stupid Hell lurches forth another three point game...
-
And that would be Forsberg's first point as a Pred against a team not named the Red Wings...
-
If I were to guess, I'd say because Steve had a full career and as a legend was rightfully honored by having his jersey hung in the rafters. Meanwhile, Vladdy was a great player whose career was cut short; not long enough to have his number retired, so the locker is its own kind of honor.
-
I looked it up, and it was indeed December.
-
The team was very healthy in '02. You're probably thinking of '04. With a full ten regulars out of the line up, the Griffs went on a tear spearheaded by Pavel; he was named player of the month, if I recall correctly.
-
Righto, then.
-
I bet most people watching the hit were thinking at that very moment, "Wow, that's a really bad idea, Todd." I'm not really concerned with that anymore. His actions were deplorable and that people would defend them is repugnant to me, is all. He's on the team now and I want him to be successful.
-
Of course, the way he fell to the ice (with Bertuzzi atop him) was directly caused by his being immediately knocked unconscious by a blow to the back of the head. It was certainly not Todd's intention for the events to unfold the way they did, but that they did was a result of both his malice to deliver the initial blow, and his stupidity in not having the forethought to at least spin him around before he started swinging. I don't see why stupidity is a valid excuse for his behavior and the consequences that they wrought.

At ease, soldier. It's just a bunch of children. When "lol konstantinov" "rofl they r homos" pops up, you can swiftly and cleanly break ties to them and be better for it. -
He was suspended for the first two games of the Stanley Cup Finals.

What is the greatest defenseman in red wings history doing today?
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Patrick Roy's topic in General
More like, "where is teh funneh?" The answer is: most completely and assuredly dead. -
Obligatory: This sucks. Long-term (which is a short couple weeks...): We'll be limping in and around Nashville, it seems like. Anything can still happen with this line up, but if we do drop the ball against the Preds, let this be the first, "Don't Panic, We're Still in the Playoffs and We're Healthier Than Ever" post.
