Wings acquire Kyle Calder in 3-way deal
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to WingsFANstuckintheSOUTH's topic in General
I will now mock Jason Williams and the Chicago Blackhawks orginization mercilessly: Boy, you guys are in for a surprise. Translation: How could this happen to me? I made my mistakes! Nowhere to run, but life goes on while I'm fading away! You never loved me! Well, that's not true, Jason... No! It is true! I'm going someplace far away where they'll appreciate me. Just messin' with you, Jason. Best of luck, dude. -

And I still think they're out of their skulls. Good young Dman and a pick for Willy? The same guy who's UFA at next season's end? I don't know what the hell is their problem. -

You vastly overrate Williams' worth if you think he could bring in much of anything else. -

Well, let's put it this way: Willy wasn't working. Like, oh man, that s*** right there was broke. The worst Calder can do now is retain its brokenness, with a chance of improving it. -

Kenny, that fool, doesn't realize that he was exactly what St. Louis needed! Viva la Guerin! -

Well, I can't really make heads or tails of it from Chicago's perspective, but here we go: PROS: Willy is gone. Awesome! Calder's shown decent hands in the past. Anything to get the second line on track. CONS: The guy we grabbed is a league worst -31. -

What?! Am I the only guy here who thinks Chicago is nuts to do this? -

Yeah, but that's Chicago's end of the deal. Solid young Dman still on Entry Level Contract for worthless s***ty Jason Williams with just one year left on his deal, if I remember correctly. -

It stinks. Lasse Kukkonen for Jason Williams? C'mon. -
I call him "Rotten Lying Son of a *****" but it usually takes too long to type.
-
The last thing we need are loving nicknames for someone who we have to plead with effusively to not lie to us...
-
The article actually kinda says, "Next Lidstrom? Are you serious dude? f*** no! Like, Chelios, maybe."
-
I said a couple weeks ago that I would be disappointed if Roberts was the Wings big acquisition, but after the way picks and prospects were bandied about... He might be pretty OK to have. He'd have to be nuts to pass on the Pittsburgh trade, though.
-
I seem to remember everybody hoping we wouldn't meet up with the Oilers; Colorado was a much more handsome choice, as we would've handed them their collective ass. People were confident, once it came down to it, that we could be the Oil, but most people were hoping we'd dodge them...
-
Maybe from the Goof Troupe, but that's pretty much how it needs to happen. He done precisely zippo with a side of diddly squat to get another contract from the Wings without showing he can carry on this chemistry he's got with Hank into spring...

Wings have made an Offer for Jason Blake
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to russianswede919293's topic in General
Why? I know he's a great guy, Selke winner, super cool, but let's look at the facts here: he's 35, not a gamebreaker by any stretch of the imagination, and most importantly has one year left on his deal. Any proposed deal would be "Draper+X" of course, but my point is is that Kris really doesn't have any value at all for a rebuilding team since he's only going to be a round for one season. Picks and prospects, that's all they're looking for. -
I can't stand those armpits and how they make them clash with the body of the uniform. It's right there in the name--UNIFORM--let's get some uniform color in here, please. None of this whiteshirtbutthearmpitsareblue crap.

If I've done anything stupid, it would be assuming you had a brain to speak of inside your cranium instead of a Nerf football in heavy syrup. I'm actually impressed you managed to operate Google with enough proficiency to lay down that image, though. The next step, Sandy, is to find one that's actually relevant, unless you think I've physically threatened you anywhere in my posts.
-
Well now, I'd hate to for my cookware to be upset. That would really be "osmething." Coming from the genius who's already proven he's the pinnacle of wit for posting "hur hur hollend trade first pick olo" this one really stings.
-
Tell us Sandy, what's the weather like on your home planet of Buttf***ed-s***forbrains? Do you often get headaches and have to cure them by hitting yourself with a hammer? If not, what is your explaination for your frankly unbelievably low level of displayed cogitation?
-
It's all about balance. He's a guy who could nail us a few more PPGs a season and would occasionally jump someone for finishing their check, but he also takes more minor penalties than all but ten other NHLers, all the while getting turned inside out by speedy/shifty forwards and having the defensive zone awareness of a ninety year old man mid-seizure. Balance.
-
You're absolutely right, of course. Just some dipstick trying to cook up controversy. No need for anything to be changed.
-
It is, but you can just say "first" if you want and it means the same thing.
