These are some awful calls on the Oil now... Cosmic justice for getting McGeough'd last spring? Possibly!

Here we go.

Eklund: Tkachuk (or Guerin) a Wing soon?
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to The Enforcer's topic in General
Might've jumped the gun with all the excitement that Joey being waived brought. It may just have been a big GTFO for ol' Mac. Still... the night is young. And Mr. Lang watches eternally, never blinking. Tick tock, Kenneth, tick tock! -
*yawn stretch* And here we are... P. 21 You emerge from the woods and standing there before you is a tremendous complex, miles across, and a single open doorway, glowing with the light from within. The buzzing of the chainsaw-wielding maniac in pursuit rings fresh in your ears. To enter building, turn to page 36. To turn and face your fears, turn to page 25 P. 36 You walk through the door and slam the way shut behind you. Safe, you begin to explore. Thousands upon thousands of empty seats line up in front of you, as your attention is inevitably drawn to the lone figure gliding across the sheet of ice in the center. To press on past this mysterious man, turn to page 19. To go out and get the attention of this red-clad warrior, turn to page 45. P. 45 "Hello!" you cry out to the man skating leisurely past the blue line. He smiles, but does not answer. At last, he waves you over, pointing to the spare equipment on the bench for your use. As you meet him out on the ice, he extends his hand to grasp yours, "Hey there, I'm Robert Lang." He glows like a Roman god. To lock arms with this mightiest of men, turn to page 28. To blow this ****** off and be on your way, turn to page 40. P 40. Well, that was a dick thing to do. You syke that guy out, and make your way out of the arena and into the bowels of the beastly structure. Deeper and deeper you go, until finally... It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue. You run for fear of your life, but the sounds of its vicious maw, alive with malice, close quick on your heels. All hope is lost. It is then the door flies open, silhouetting a powerful behemoth, stick held aloft. With an twitch of his wrist, the heart of the monster is pierced. As it falls to the ground, lifeless, you climb up on Robert Lang's shoulder, unable to express your thankfulness. "It's OK, puny man," he says, "So long as you have learned a lesson." You have. As the two of you escape the Enchanted Forest in the Langcopter, you know you will have many more adventures with your newfound friend. THE END

INCOMING -
I can just envision the wholesale lack of skating or effort that combo would produce. Might as well just ice Dano and take it to 'em 3-on-5.
-
I love the referees coming in at the end and kind of WTFing at each other. Finally, they're just like, "OK retards, break it up."
-
Considering the Bolts just grabbed first in their division last night, chances of them trading away one of their top six forwards is scarce.
-
Well done as always, my friend. And this earned some lulz, as well it should.

*double take*

I have it on good authority that Red Pop is actually composed of pure win.
-
I too derive joy from his failure. Oh, Peter! Your tears are like candy. Alas, I feel as though it will be short-lived. Best get in our jabs while we can.
-
Local product, mind you. Drake, you're SOL unless you're willing to make a trip down the St. Lawrence.
-
They're showing the melee again on the intermission report. EDIT: Oh geez, nevermind. Talk about glossing over it.

I was speaking tongue-in-cheek, unfortunately; it was a jab at some of the Osgood fans who were upset when Mike changed the game plan from early in the year when Dom ended up getting more starts than planned. Now, he's changing it up again, but we're all honky-dory... For my real opinion, I'm not worried about messages or anything. This is a veteran group, the only message this is sending is "I want you guys to win the game with Ozzie in net." Whoever plays is fine with me. -
what is this wonderful place aflac and why i am now just learning of it

I fully expect this up on YouTube in 24 hours...

The prices for rentals are incomprehensible.
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Mighty Wings's topic in General
For a team that basically has relied on their awfulness to get them where they are, dealing away first rounders like that is a recipe for disaster in the future. Detroit has been so good for so long because they can pull Datsyuks and Zetterbergs out of the late rounds and then put their picks towards rentals. Of course there are other factors like payroll, but drafting is at the heart of it--the better you are, the more you can spend. And I guess we just disagree on the state of Pittsburgh's playoff chances--too young, don't think one defensemen will be enough to pull them out of their defensive dulldrums. -

It's not like their team's been built on great scouting. Crosby, Malkin, Staal are all top picks from tanking so completely and totally. What kinda stupid would they be to throw away the next generation on a team that probably isn't good enough to get there anyways? -

Oh, that loathsome Mike Babcock, how dare he change his mind again.
