The authority reports thus:

Not that I necessarily support the Eaton = Win thing here, but if you check out the highlights at NHL.com (or other outlet of choice...) you'll see Fleury had a pretty awful game.
-
Well then, count me among the concerned for all this Marty Lapointe talk. The Blues Brothers on the other hand...
-
Is this a reliable source? It ain't TSN, but it does have Dot See-A at the end of it.
-
Well, we could sit here all day and argue about the 2006 Canadian Olympic Team, but rest assured, the choice of Todd Bertuzzi over Sidney Crosby is not one that casts a negative light on the latter because he "didn't even make it." The comparison to Sid is what really got my goat. I couldn't care less if he's a locker room cancer or not; Detroit has a way or whipping those guys into shape anyhow.
-
I know man, aren't we (well, they, go Team USA) glad they had him instead of Sidney? Really, I was just pointing out how stupid that Olympics remark was.
-
Thank goodness they qualified for the medal rounds, that showed all those Crosby lovers what's what! Todd led the way with a dandy three assists to boot... man, what a Canadian hero.

Lets keep things in perspective people

Uh, well, no. It's OK to be a grinder and a PKer and Dano was (and is) excellent at that in '06. Grinding and PKing are just two more things that Cleary contributes to the team that Willy doesn't, and that's before we take into account scoring. -

I really feel like he wouldn't fetch anything beyond a 6th rounder. He's pretty worthless, brings almost nothing to the ice, and now has concussion issues to boot. Like I said elsewhere, any deal involving him will pretty much be with the knowledge that we're just trying to get rid of the guy, and he's not part of the return at all. -
Well, what it says is this: "He'd love to come back and team vice president Steve Yzerman has encouraged the front office in the past to explore the possibility." I may be misinterpreting it, but 'in the past' seems to imply when he was still a player; this may have been some odd years ago.
-
Just to continue with the Florida theme... Gary Roberts says no to any deal not sending him to Toronto or Ottawa.
-
He really reminds of Shanny or Lang. Big and strong, yes, but it's not the most deadly part of their arsenal or one that they use to their biggest advantage. Given the going rate of rental players, I doubt it. Might be moot if the B's still think they're in it by the deadline.
-
Murray? He's Shanny 2.0; big, soft perimeter guy who doesn't get it done in the post season. As for Meech (and Williams, by extension) I don't think he has any trade value at all. At least for Willy, we could include him in part of the deal with the assurance that it's just so we can get rid of the guy.

Give up a potential future sniper for a washed up ****** bag who can't score in the playoffs even if he manages to get healthy enough to play... WAT R U WATING 4 HOLLEND GAWD

With regards to Kopecky: tough break, but his affect on our line up is insignificant.

5 Reason's Datsyuk Will NOT Be Traded

With regards to #5... Yeah, I'll have to echo Nick. Even moreso than Pavel's previous playoff struggles, his tendency to over-handle the puck can get him rejected at the blue line. Normally that's not really the end of the world, but with an empty net and time ticking down, it's gotta get in. Go with the most sure-handed player in the league and you can't go wrong... -
I'm sick of the FLYERS playing on VS
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to Zeta Power 40's topic in General
It would right kill those SOBs to stick a Canadian team on there other than when they absolutely have no alternative. As much as I'm looking forward to Wild-Devils, I have a feeling Sens-Sabres would generate more excitement. -

Is someone you know affected by this rare and devastating condition? You can help them. Pick up the phone; call this number. Soon they'll be on their way to becoming a normal and healthy member of society once again! Don't wait. Someone out there needs you.

The avalanche has already begun; it is too late for the pebbles to vote. Mang, I had to Google that, and am wary of it. Grunge.

A declaration! This is the Late Night Chat Thread, henceforth and forthwith, until such a time as it is Nuked Something Fierce. Answer: None!

If you post in quick succession the board just merges the two (or in this case three) and counts it as one post. GENTLEMEN, BEHOLD!

Man, I wish I was good at Photoshop, cause Che would be all over this piece right about now. But with exciting Red Wings variations! Also: I'm famous now? Awesome.

I think you should just take a quick gander at some of the other threads around before coming up with a new topic. In the wake of the Post-Forsberg Panic, this place would get cluttered right quick with the "zomg kennay wat r u wating 4" threads were it not for the watchful eyes of our moderators. Unfortunately, it's late, they're not around, so we must fend for ourselves...
