Screw Sidney, the Saviour Has Arrived

Aw, c'mon BRTD, don't tell me you'd kick her out of bed.
  2. Heroes of Hockeytown

    TKACHUK or GUERIN ?

Well, f*** me. And f*** you too, St. Louis!
  3. Heroes of Hockeytown

This only happens in video games, right?

Yeah, I remember seeing that on the highlight reels. My response now, as it was then: DAMN SON
  4. Heroes of Hockeytown

Are we going to make it happen?

He wants you to use your spacebar when separating puncuation from words. In that, we are in agreement.

Are we going to make it happen?

I was only messin' with ya. That this sudden panic just so happened to occur in the following hours and now day of the Forsberg trade is not a coincidence to me. People are freaked out that we didn't have what it took to grab the big dog, when pretty much everybody else is still on the market.

    Nashville's record doesn't reflect it's team lately

The whole team really screwed the pooch that night, YG. Doesn't change the fact that Joey is composed of pure Anti-Win, an element that begins at zero and moves its way down from there, but that particular game was pretty much unsalvageable from all angles.

Are we going to make it happen?

AUTO-RESPONSE v1.0 Dear [insert Name Here], You may be wondering why Ken Holland, General Manager of the Detroit Red Wings hockey club, has not yet made a trade to bolster his team for the upcoming playoff season. Do not fear, patron! There are still [eleven days] remaining! That is plenty of time. We thank you for your concern, and have a nice day.

    College Football

Oh noes the twelve year olds are out in full force, and they smell domination.

What happened to our rivalry with the Avs?

No, what you said was this: "because we have no fighters and all of detroits players are europeans who cant fight?" Which rather implies that they don't fight because they are European, which is A.) nonsense, and B.) ignores the good ol' Candians and Americans on this team that are wimps, too. Of course, Europeans are less likely to fight because of the culture they are raised in; fighting is not allowed in European leagues, they'll suspend you. Regardless, this does not prevent them from doing so when they cross the pond and there is nothing inherent about them that stops them either--so using "Euro" as a modifier on something like "fighter" is pretty much worthless.

What happened to our rivalry with the Avs?

Where to start? Ok: You can hit "EDIT" to go back and fix typos. Also: North Americans. Willingness to fight exists independently of race. Finally: the rivalry is dead, dead, dead. It was made in the playoffs and it is the playoffs that the Avalanche will miss.

    Nashville's record doesn't reflect it's team lately

But the Wings have handled them pretty well this season. That being said, there have been just three games played. And of course, things can certainly change at the drop of a hat, and that's before Forsberg and Vishnevski get involved.

Preds also have Hartnell manning the wings. It's the Preds explosive offense vs. the Wings team defense. No idea which is better.

Maple Leafs fan sums up Philly loss.

This is dead on. I know the playoffs are what matter and all that, but we should all be so lucky to be Wings fans and to see our team win night in and night out for the last fifteen years. We got bounced in the first round, humongous disappointment, but we still won fifty games. You didn't enjoy that? That didn't create any good memories for you? Of course it did. That Leafs fan would rather be .500? Good for him. That's what he'll remember--mediocrity and frustration at missing the playoffs. We'll take some more enjoyable memories with us, thanks.

    OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

Or his head could spontaneously pop like a balloon; this would also cause trouble for the Preds. So long as he can stay healthy I'd wager that he'll at least be "Pretty OK" and may go all the way up to "Damn Son."

    OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

I was kind of expecting him to go with Hartnell. My intuition (which is impeccable ) tells me he fits the Hejduk/Gagne role easily and can be shoveling in gimmies right from the get go.

    OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

This ain't the Island, man. Kenny got extended some-odd five years; I don't think job security is an issue.

    OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

As I'm sure he's so seeking your approval, I suspect he's on the phone as we speak hammering things out.

    Our Hot Line

No argument here. But anything beyond that is silliness.

    Our Hot Line

Ah, so that's the key. Constantly performing at the top of your game over eighty-two consecutive games, and you'll lead the league in scoring!

I will now roll my eyes effusively at this remark:
  23. Heroes of Hockeytown

    Forsberg trade close

He has been at or above PPG in every playoff run in his career, except twice, when he missed the mark by a single point. The guys a beast.
  24. Heroes of Hockeytown

    TKACHUK or GUERIN ?

    yes
  25. Heroes of Hockeytown

    Forsberg trade close

Our mission is clear: Billy Guerin - that would be pretty OK. For the no doubt endless amount of people that ought to be pouring in screeching "KENNAY DEW SOMETHING PLZ" it's important to note that there are still twelve days to the trade deadline; we may have to wait to find out who the Wings acquire.
