This is a great display of your complete and total inability to distinguish the differences between the 2006 Red Wings at the deadline and the 2007 Predators at the deadline: the players available at those deadlines, the cap space available at those deadlines, the make up of those teams at the deadlines. It is with great conviction that I demand that Cory Cross never be again mentioned here or in any other place, at this and all points in the future, due to most folks' complete lack of understanding for it. Thank you.

Says ye of little faith.

It's basically impossible for Detroit to face Nashville in the first round this year, just to be clear...
-
Those SOBs are going balls out this year. They must be stopped.
-
Dear sweet jesus. What have they done.
-
"WAT LOL" "WAT U MEAN ROFL"
-
Yeah, Hatch does get a bad rap around here, that's true. But it's one thing just to say that, quite another to try and imply anything because we haven't won a playoff round without him, post Bowman. You could just as easily say the same thing about Ray Whitney, you know what I mean? We didn't lean heavily on either in our '04 series.
-
With five games left to go against Nashville, I have a feeling the Wings will get their shot. No need to blow this game out of proportion--it's one of a million insignificant losses in franchise history.
-
I'm rather indifferent on the subject in general, but why would you go and bring this up? There's so much "correlation != causation" all over this I can't make heads or tails of it.
-
Homer & Sickle! Hmmm, I guess that leaves out Hank. Homer & SickleZ?
-
Yeah, the "I'd rather not get punked by Philly than win three championships" thing is pretty absurd. Anyways, I think you need to stop going on about that loss. Honest to goodness. How will affect this team at the deadline? In no way. Holland was already on the lookout to add a tough gritty forward... and he still is. It changes nothing about the post season. Teams that hit, hit. If that's their style, it's what they'll do. If it isn't, they'll do something else. Believe it or not, San Jose really isn't that big of a hitting team. They're all big boys, but they don't go flying around crushing people like Philly does.

I'm going to go with 'duh' on this one. Anyways, Kenny has made it abundantly clear that he is not going to trade Pavel, regardless of contract whatsits.
-
Homer's Heroes Seriously. Those two totally saved his ass.
-
No time like the present. Coyotes comin' up? 1-3-4 should be no problem.
-
Wow, can you believe there were only four power plays in tonight's game? The Wings had just one.
-
Honestly? I forgot there was any Detroit Red Wings at all. Hank absolutely stole the show. What a completely dominating (dare I say Fedorov-esque--complete with wraparound attempt) performance by our main man. Absolutely dynamite. Give this man some awards.
-
WINGS EXPOSED: Wings were outhit, out-trapped and had to face a red hot goalie. And won! It could be that this is a pretty decent team we have here, guys. I was going to say "the greatest player on the ******* planet" status but this also acceptable.
-
Never saw Pavel so excited in my life to score. He knew that was just an outrageous pass.
-
NEVERMIND! WOOO!
-
I've got a baaaad feeling about this.
-
It is.
-
Ugh... this Smith for Vezina stuff has got to go. A frickin' nanometer to the left and Pavel's shot is in. Well, Kronwall retains his Hard Luck Player of the Year status by going down and being scored on essentially 5-on-3. Williams comes right back... and misses an empty net. Ugh. Let's go boys, IT'S ONLY DALLAS!
-
Pretty boring period. Wings oughta abandon the carry in right now. Dallas is linin' 'em up on the blue line and it's something they're good at.
-
I know the newspapers haven't really been a lot of help lately with all their conflicting reports, but you don't get any less ambiguous than "Wings to start Osgood in goal tonight."
