Be interesting to see if Hank can hit that ever elusive H__ T____.
-
What a veteran play. You thought he just had a ton of bricks fall on his foot. Attaboy Cuj!
-
That's uncalled for. Cheli was right on his tail the whole way. In the end he got wiped out by Hasek.
-
Dom ought to consider chillin' out, though. It's Wandering Season in Detroit and teams are wise to it. It's one thing to come out and catch a guy by surprise. If they can see you coming all the way, it's an empty-netter. Shane had his head up, saw the play, easy cut over the goalie (who wiped out a back checking Cheli in the process). But you know, like Bob said... that's his game, that's what he does. He doesn't sound worried, no reason for it. Wings will pull this one out.
-
Now that's grit.
-
Look like Feds on that one. Great goal!
-
get out
-
No problem... Wings were the better team through twenty... Markov seems to have a case of the oopsies lately, but that wasn't the cause of the goal tonight. Just keep chippin' away. Langer will tie this one in no time.

What is a game winning goal supposed to tell us?
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to WingsFan2007's topic in General
OT goals are a much better indicator of clutchness if you ask me... Joe Sakic and Mats Sundin are the top two guys I think of when it comes to winning the game in extra sessions. -
Hey Robert! I like the things you do. HEY ROBERT! If I could I would be you! You're the one and only play-er, With the one and only skate, Know how to take a game and make it-- GRRRRREAT! Robert Lang! He's mooooore than good, HE'S GREAT!!

The "REAL" reason some Detroit fans dislike Fedorov
Heroes of Hockeytown replied to WingNutt's topic in General
Gordie retired because of injury concerns. Later he found out he could get some surgery to help him out, and then he had the incredible opportunity to play with both of his sons. That's not a gift you pass on. Not that I blame Fedorov for leaving either. When the news first broke, I was mad as hell. It took a couple of years for all the information to surface; with all of the facts in front of me, it's easy to understand his decision. I'm sort of curious, BB91, do you think Fedorov should have his number retired? -
I'll go with "close, but not quite." If he can get 96 (which is what Jumbo Joe hit last year) it will still be a helluva feat. As for linemates, I think Sid's have shifted around a lot this season, am I right? I've seen Recchi, Malkin (sparingly), Malone, Armstrong...

Hey, sorry I brought it up. Consider the above "outrage" that is best saved for "another forum."

Monday, Rush Lardass claimed that Rex Grossman is being scapegoated for losing the game because he's white. It wasn't the two fumbled snaps, the two 11-yard sacks and the two interceptions (including a pick-six). Limbaugh was s***canned by ESPN for being a racist, paranoid retard (Tom Jackson belongs in the Hall of Fame for getting that white supremacist pervert and dope addict fired). That's a hilarious shirt, by the way.

Tunbo getting the smackdown laid on him? How could it be?!
-
There ya go. Huet ain't chopped liver either.
-
I don't necessarily agree with that either, but Janne Niinimaa? That's a grade A nobody. Steve Begin? Jobber. At least Plekanec is a young man, but he's hardly tearing it up.
-
Plekanec? Begin? Niinimaa? Sorry, I'm having a hard time being impressed by guys with 12 and 2 goals, and a Dman who's played a whopping 27 games this year in between scratches.

The "REAL" reason some Detroit fans dislike Fedorov

Man, he really wore that helmet loose when he was young. Good for a few old school goals now and again. Now he's all bolted down... Must be the visor! -
Nope. Which is fine with me. Mike's confident he'll get on another roll and so I am. I don't think he'll be around next year (especially if he's looking for a similarly priced contract as was rumored), but I'm happy we've got him on our side for at least one more spring. As for Rex... demote Williams again, put him on a line with Lang and Cleary. I don't buy the goals/seconds thing for an instant, but he's still a good shooter for us and it could pay off to be playing with those guys.

I'll keep a watchful eye on the horizon, and not be caught flat-footed again! -
Surprised it took them this long... he just has nothing going on in Montreal.
