No kidding. Am I the only one tired of the Patriots? Yeah, yeah, Go Blue, but it's time for someone new to step onto the world's biggest stage. The Pats are on the fast track back with only the Colts in their way, and all I can sit here and do is pray for an upset.
-
Are the Pats the luckiest team in NFL history of what? From tuck rule to this, a DB fumbling a pick on FOURTH DOWN. Why do DBs go for interceptions on fourth down? Usually it's some desperation throw that's nowhere near a receiver, all they've got to do is bat it down and they get better field position, and avoid some fate worse than death, like what happened to the Chargers. McCree signle-handedly blew it for San Diego today. He'll be the biggest goat in that town's history. My goodness.

I think a quarter billion dollars has something to do with it. Oh, also there's this hilarious bulls*** lie about trying to promote soccer in America. From what I understand, since I'm no soccer fan, is that at this point in his career Beckhman is only above average but a great penalty kicker. I know Pele was a world class footballer but couldn't get the ball rolling in the US of A and I doubt this pretty boy has a shot either...

A belated vote of confidence in whoever Marinelli and Co. grab. Last year I thought Ernie Sims was going to spend the season on the sideline with a concussion, but he came in and was absolutely dynamite. So long as they don't go chasing stardom from the Quinn's and Johnson's of the draft... I feel OK about the outcome. -
That was underwhelming. The Big Ten should really reconsider the final date of their season post haste. I know there's a lot of history and yada yada behind November 18th, but I think it was pretty obvious it was a killer last night. The Gators were the better team and deserved to win, but we didn't see the Buckeyes at anything reasonably close to 100%. Losing Ginn right out of the gate was a blow too. But the whole thing was just absurd. It actually seemed like what Florida did to Ohio State was what Ohio State did to Michigan: just spread the field. You go four/five wide on every single snap, someone underneath is going to get open. Which is totally obnoxious, by the way, but there's the college game for ya. Anyways, congrats to the Gators. The Heisman kiss of death lives on...

Awww, Alan! Guess you gotta follow your nose to where the money flows. Also, damn, the big game's today. That one really snuck up on me.

A simple formula, really, "We woulda kicked your ass if you didn't have your best player!" Now if only we could get rid of Vince Young and Matt Leinart, we'd be three for three...

No way. The Giants are an embarrassment of a football team. Philly needs to light them up. In an ideal world, the careers of Tom Coughlin in New York and Tiki Barber (who, by the way, is actually a really cool guy) should end this afternoon. The oft-unappreciated Brian Westbrook will lose his mind and combine for over two hundred yards and a score or two. Or so my prediction goes, anyways. Pats should beat the Jets, but an upset would be terrific in my book.

Oh yeah, I saw it. That was some insane stuff. Just a flick of his wrist and the damn ball's halfway down the field.
-
The Goof Bowl will never be forgotten. One of the top five worst refereed bowl games in college football history is not something a viewer will soon disremember.
-
Well, we can both take solace in the fact that Mr. Wonderful, Brady Quinn, lost his fourth and final bowl game. Ho hum. Now JaMarcus Russel, there's a QB I can get behind. Big, powerful arm, accurate, he looks like he's got all the tools.
-
Excellent point. Martyball may yet be the doom of the Chargers. He's been better about it this year, though, but you never know when it may strike.
-
Man, that's all I've been hearing about since yesterday. I really feel like an ******* for missing it, now.
-
Belated reaction: Goddamnit. When the quarterback is being sacked on three step drops and your running back is being nailed in the backfield time and time again, you know your O-line didn't come to play. What an awful week for football...

Quinn is a pretty boy who chokes when it counts the most. HOW many big games has that Adonis won? Here, let us count: Lost to Michigan 3 of 4 times. Lost to USC 4 of 4 times. Lost to Ohio State 1 of 1 times. Managed to lose to Michigan State 2 of 3 times. Lost both bowl games he's QB'd. Will likely lose the third. But he looks real good torching Navy for five TDs every year. Could these jokers just trade down and get an O-Line already? Christ. Nothing like Lions football to get the blood boiling. -
dont for get lilja and willy lmaooo

Someone from my high school got recruited by Michigan. What? Linka. I don't even recognize this guy, but I played in the band during every home game. We had one winning season, we sucked BIG TIME, so I guess I'm just really weirded out about how this guy got recruited by Michigan.

For hardcore Wolverines, the Lions drafting Smith would be this weird masochistic revenge thing. We win because he loses, and we lose so we win? -
I should've known better than to badmouth ol' Anders with Eva on the loose.
-
What I think he means is player-for-player kinda trades, not picks and prospects. Besides throw ins like Avery and Eriksson, he doesn't make too many of those moves. Of course, I'm not complaining about it.
