Well holy s***, that was a ******* comeback. The Spartans will be feeling that one all the way to bowl week...
-
Just when I thought they couldn't be any more overrated... they tank against State. Bravo, ND, bravo.
-
Manningham takes two into the endzone and Michigan cruises to a second half victory. He's certainly starting to evolve into another elite receiver for the maize and blue. Sparty will probably take the pipe against ND, but I wouldn't count them out.
-
Offense doesn't look on today. I think you've gotta trust Mike Hart on second and long, even if he gets stuffed on first down. He can always still break a 7+ yard run and make it worth the effort.

um im sorry upn but me and booker t just had a breakup im not ready for a new relationshop with your other gfreat superstars please stop spamming me with ads we can still be freinds right ???

Um, potential? Our top receiver is some guy who washed up on shore from St. Louis. We don't even have a legit #1 WR. This is a sad, sad place right now in terms of offense. -
I ******* knew this was going to happen. Literally, as time expired on the Florida game, I was thinking exactly what you wrote. I knew those mindless Floridian cockgoblins would give us the shaft...

I really liked the part where they fumbled the ball twice in the first five minutes of the game. Somewhere on the field, there's a guy recording this for his middle school team as a "what not to do" video... I guess I overestimated the Lions when I was thinking FG with a first down at the Bears 12 yard line. -
Wolverines putting a thorough beatdown on the Irish at the end of the half. Looks like they're about to give up a last second TD, though... Yeah, there it is.

Well, Marinelli earns my respect for s***canning overpaid underachievers like Charles Rogers and Mike Williams, but it's true that Roy is hovering dangerously close to that territory. Kind of embarrassing how all those high round WR picks turned out after all these years... -

Big opportunity wasted by the Lions to kick a FG at least and try and hang on for the win. So, Seattle will go ahead and get the FG and the W. -

Near the end of the third quarter... the Lions defense has ******* dominated Alexander and the Seahawks offense, but our offense still hasn't gotten close to the red zone. With the exception of Kevin Jones, though, who's been a stud. And here comes the boo birds. -
I was really disappointed that ND managed to pull that one out againt GT. The Ramblin' Wreck had 'em on the ropes for a while, but in the end they weren't good for more than one TD. OSU vs. Texas is circled on my calender for next week though. Time for a clash of the titans; my pick and rooting interests lie with Texas.

End of the half thoughts: Comedy of errors on offense continues with butterfingers Grady fumbling in scoring position again... but Lamar Woodley and the defense are dominant, except for getting fooled by a gadget play. Ugly looking game after the first drive, but it still is looking to me like a Michigan W.
-
My man love for Mike Hart continues. But this Minor fella just showed some nice wheels. Seem to be having some difficulties receiving though... Manningham, Massey have dropped good throws, Henne has overthrown open receivers a few times. Just keep coming... first down pass dropped by Breaston, resulting FG try is blocked down to the Vandy 45. Ugly sequence right there.

Better with two months to go than it flaring up at some critical point in the season. We can get a long a couple of weeks (which is hopefully the upper limit for any time he might miss!) without him to start the season. It sucks, but it's not a huge deal that will make or break us. -
And are others not entitled to criticize that opinion?
-
No, Afinogenov is a really terrible finisher. He's not a natural goal scorer, which is disappointing: he gets tons of chances because he's quick and shifty, but only buries is once in a while. He won't score 40 goals on Datsyuk's wing, either. Shanny is a far better goal scorer. Meanwhile, guys like Ovechkin, Gaborik, and Kovalchuk are all superb goal scorers and the best in the game. When you think of the difference between Afinogenov and Kovalchuk, I want you to imagine Maxim waving his hands to him from the other side of an impassible chasm. For comparison: Samuelsson and Holmstrom both scored more goals than Maxim this year, Williams was one shy, and we do not consider them some of hockey's elite.
-
Also true. Basically, this whole rumor is stupid.

I'd hate to have Afinogenov dumped on us. He's good for some teams, but not for us. He should score at least twice as many goals as he does; he's just a terrible goal scorer who gets lucky sometimes because of his wicked speed and moves.
-
I used to do that when I was five.
-
Not counting pre-CBA stuff: Tanguay makes $5M, Kariya, Kovalev, Heatley, Alfredsson make $4.5M. Shanny doesn't come close. EDIT: And lo, for Kovalchuk be not amongst them.
