Me too. Maybe I got caught up in the RPG line hype but I thought for sure the Ducks would take care of business. It's only one game though, but a helluva statement by the Preds.

Bert seems to be turning into something of a folk hero in Detroit. I guess when you're the only guy that'll drop the gloves it's an easy mantle to take up. He's been awesome lately, you could tell he was gearing up for the playoffs, and it was obvious today he meant business. Mean, physical Bert is best Bert. -

Fine by me. Sentimentality is all well and good, but ultimately the only thing that matters is giving yourself the best chance at winning a game. At this point it's Miller that does that.

I see you there. It was funny at the time. Unfortunately a rotating cast of jackasses have decided that they're really good at hockey (and making me miserable). I would love for Nashville to beat them, but I doubt it.

Hank was the Wings' best player last year against the Yotes. But I agree with GMR, the Wings are still a much better team and should be able to win without him, be that for just one or two games or all of them.

Awesome, gutsy, ballsy win. Complaints: The Chicago Blackhawks, for playing PERFECT, INFRACTION-FREE HOCKEY for sixty minutes. Darn them! On a totally unrelated note, Johan Franzen's face, for spontaneously combusting. Keep it together, Johan Franzen's face! We got a game to win! Eddie Olczyk, for confusing "NBC" with "CSN." In his defense, B is a tricky letter. -
I am firmly in the belief that the Wings will kick either of these teams' asses. The Sharks and Nucks and maybe the Hawks are the scary teams in the West right now, not these ragtag groups of scrappy go-getters. EDIT: Also the Ducks, let's not play those assholes again please.

So what is this, the twelfth or thirteenth time they've met in the playoffs? Anyway, Montroll in 7. Their run to the ECF was my favorite story of last year's playoffs, don't let me down this time, Habs. EDIT: Good lord I wasn't even close: this is their 33rd(!) meeting.
