When I woke up this morning, the Sun was rising in the east, water was still wet, and pi faithfully remained 3.14(etc). Some things just go without saying, man.

I think the Wings would kick their asses if they met in the playoffs. The only team in the West the Wings seem to match up especially poorly against is San Jose, so if anyone would volunteer to do the dirty work for them on that front I'd really appreciate it. Obviously the Canucks are a great team and that could go either way. Well, they all could, but that's hockey; no one knows which way the puck will bounce. But as long as I'm sitting here making declarations, yes: Chicago sucks and are not as good as the team I like.

I had not remembered it either, until it was mentioned after they'd gotten this latest record. Six years is a pretty long time; perhaps in 2018 we will have forgotten this streak too.

The Wings have some breathing space on most of the teams that were chasing after them earlier in the season, but one remains, and that foe is relentless. The Blues have a freebie tonight: the Jackets. Two points has never been bigger.
