In other words, business as usual for a Wings prospect. -
The Wings played a bunch of games against a bunch of teams over a random sampling of the season. If you picked any other five games you could very well get the same 2-2-1 result. I don't think it means anything about anything.

They are far and away the hottest and best team in hockey right now. But hopefully the Wings are just one road trip away from reversing those fortunes...

How is SV% not a team statistic as well? Every shot that a goalie faces is impacted by the rest of his team somehow -- an unscreened wrister from along the boards is a lot different than a breakaway. As ever, the only way to truly know anything about a player is to watch the games and see for yourself.

Egads, can you imagine Babcock having this sort of attitude? A regular season win doesn't get you any closer to the Cup than you were before; winning more than one playoff series in three years would be an actual start.

Don't worry, he says that before every game, so he's only looking at about a 36% success rate so far.

Aside from maybe the more casual fans that will be confused when the game they were expecting to be on isn't on, this works out hugely in the NHL's favor. There aren't any good bowl games on at 8PM. They won't have to compete with Penn State for the Pittsburgh market like they were at 1PM, and also will most certainly get a much higher viewership from the Michigan area when not competing with the Wolverines and Spartans.
