It certainly does feel that way. Conversely, the Wings routinely fail to get a shot on goal with their odd man rushes. They had three or four today, all misses. I don't have very many criticisms of the Wings, but odd man rushes, overtime, and 5-on-3s seem to be the things they're poor at, and inexplicably so given how talented their players are. Although I definitely have criticism for their play tonight. Rafalski, make them beat you -- don't give the game away. -

It is an interesting change of fortune, although probably not for any real reason. For the longest time the Wings owned Dallas, but that may have partly been because of the Turco Factor. -

Except earlier this season when they rolled through four or five or six games or so getting Ws. Mindfly, I swear it's like you've never watched a complete NHL regular season before. Let me break it down for you: Your team wins some games for a while. Then they lose some games for a while. Then they win some games for a while. If your team is good, the first and third things occur a little more than the second thing. /spoilers -

I'm not sure why Jiri Hudler's struggles are an endorsement of an enforcer as opposed to an indictment of the man himself. I would rather trade Hudler for a guy that will score 50-60 points like he was expected to than someone less skilled.

Probably the only Wing at this point I'd swap him for is Hudler. Although lil' Jiri seems to be remembering how to play hockey lately, so maybe not.

Fortuitously for our heroes, everyone on the Blues is injured right now. If there was ever a time to get back on track and start winning home games again, this is it.
