I was also expecting it, but they managed to get the one stop they needed in the Defenseless Bowl. -
I have generally regarded Mike Babcock and Ken Holland as pretty smart hockey guys, but recently their track record with the archetypal Small Soft Euro hasn't been too great. Still, the season is yet young. The chance at 60 points might be slipping away (and then again maybe not) but as long as he starts contributing at some point I guess I don't care too much, considering how successful the Wings have been to this point.

I'd hate for a game that is seemingly this "big" (of course it's still just two points) to end up as a schedule loss. I hope they can find their legs; at least we know Jimmy will be bringing his A-game and give them a chance to win. -
So does anyone else hope Lidstrom comes back next season?

Kipper was on the ball tonight or the score might have gotten out of hand. Wings definitely drove the bus tonight. Tough to complain, but the PP remains subpar. It would've made their lives easier to get even one more goal tonight. But a W is most certainly still a W.
