Datsyuk you are not, little one. -
Might be off topic but I don't agree, I haven't been very pleased with Stuart's play this season. I don't think he jibes well with Lidstrom, for whatever reason. In addition to the penalties the other night he was also a culprit on the Eriksson goal (along with a lot of other guys) and did a really poor job checking Neal on his goal (although I thought Ozzie ought to have had that anyways).

He's hoping to play in the next game, on Thursday. -

I had a dream last night that the Wings lost, but it was to the Flyers so we should be okay. But it was very depressing and chaotic how it all happened. In any event, being that Ott didn't do anything last game (probably a function of the score) I guess it falls now to Doan to ****** it up a little. We'll see. -

If Stafford had a left tackle that would protect him from getting blindsided by 280 pound defensive ends right off the snap, it would help a lot too. -
I agree that Lidstrom hasn't been particularly inspiring to start the year. The only (relatively) good news is that slow starts are somewhat par for the course with Nick, perhaps aggravated by his age as well.
-
It's impossible for a team to get any momentum when they completely ignore Loui Eriksson standing at the edge of the crease, despite him being within feet of Nick Lidstrom, Brad Stuart, and Henrik Zetterberg. And if teams can't get momentum when pucks are flying in through screens and off defensemen then they should probably find a new profession because that's what 90% of hockey is. I think instead of simply looking at a boxscore count and declaring the numbers unacceptable, you need to aim a more critical eye at the events as they unfolded.

Play well for two games, play poorly for two games, i.e. a normal result during the long hockey season.
-
Well they've actually had the puck for a while. But they should probably shelf their "wait until the last ten minutes of the game to start resembling a hockey team" gameplan.
-
Oh my goodness it is a power play goal scored by the Detroit Red Wings.
-
Where's Marc Lamothe when you need him?
-
I don't remember Ott doing anything either. Maybe that's not so good because I think I feel much like the Wings do right now -- completely detached from this thorough ass-beating. I need something hate; it's time to turn on the Ott Signal.
-
Conserving it for the playoffs. Better start early.
-
Oz probably should have had that, but Stuart also should have put Neal on his ass.
-
Something definitely needs to be done about the power play. One fluke PPG in four games ain't gonna cut it.
-
3-0 is about the time to start packing it in, though.
-
Franzen being hurt is obviously terrible but if you haven't seen the teams overcome and blow two goal leads a million times before I don't know what to tell you.
-
Some of you guys need to relax. The game has gone poorly so far but 2-0 is not exactly an insurmountable edge.
-
Nobody within a mile of Eriksson.
-
No, Brendan Morrow was standing right in front of him.
-
Well they managed almost one decent looking play in four minutes of PP time. They still have just one PP goal on the season, Flipper's magical Turco-defeated non-shot.
-
Well I certainly agree with one of these things. Looks like another PK upcoming, although that would be twice the refs have blown the whistle when the wrong team had the puck. EDIT: Or fortune will smile upon us, instead.
-
Just doing his job in front of the net; shot should have been prevented before it had the opportunity to bounce in off of traffic. Also holy moly Ozzie.
-
Yeah, looked like Helm's fault to me. He was nowhere near Richards and let him get the wide-open slapper through traffic.
