That was well executed.

Shot was stoppable, but Carcillo was still in a good shooting area. No worse than Suter's goal yesterday.

They've cooled off a bit and had a particularly bad game this afternoon, but with Pavel's line playing so well I don't see any reason to mix it up. Patience for Hank and Flip to get back their mojo.

Howard was off his angle on the game-winner, but the other goals were no big deal -- pucks flying in through screens and bouncing in off defenders, it happens. The whole team was stifled badly by the forecheck and neutral zone play, whereas the Preds seemed to get a free pass out of their zone every breakout. Lucky to get a point out of it, but the Wings should be okay.

Seriously, I have no idea when the hell the Wings are playing without the wallpapers. I don't know how I managed to watch Wings games before I found this site.

You've forgotten the return of noted tough guy and pugilist Johan Franzen. His willingness to drop the gloves and protect his teammates has spurred the Wings to these great heights.

Bert wasn't much a factor in this game, true -- in fact he was a pretty big liability, he coughed up some awful turnovers, but that's never going to change. He has been contributing on his line with Hank and Flip, so long as they're rolling I'd leave it alone. Williams on the other hand is worthless, but that's why he's stuck on the mish-mash third line instead of a legit scoring or checking line. Bumping Eaves in his place wouldn't do much for him and would hurt the 4th line. Unless there was a reason for him to get into the top two lines he's kind of stuck where he is.

Fine by me. Not every game's a masterpiece.

Buzzer beaters and last minute goals are usually what end up in the Wings net, don't they? Yeah, it's pretty nifty to see that get turned around for a change.

A couple months ago the Wings wouldn't think twice about blowing this lead, but the Wings aren't terrible anymore so I'm confident they'll close this one out with as little drama as possible.
