Could Holland wanting this guy some more PT ( which i totally agree with), make expending lebda, who to me does nothing besides skate fast one way.. skate fast the other pretty much written in stone? But we do have a ******* huge log jam at D and it will be interesting how they work this out.. hell i think every postition on this team besides goalie has a bit of a log jam of some sort.

oh man i could go and go on this.. so heres a quick tidbits 1. Fold some teams.. i.e. nashville, florida, carolina, phoenix, this would allow more talent on every team, creating more skill and a way better game to watch. pretty much teams could have a run and gun type offense etc. which would raise fans cause of the goals, i.e. more tv time! 2. fix the damn goalie interference s***. be it reveiwable etc.. but an ass in the "invisible cylander" of the crease, or a stick infront of a goalies pads is not goalie interference. 3. make suspension uniform. no mroe pronger rulings. if ya do it ya serve it. 4. try and do the best to make officiating more consistant.. if that means calling everything thats a penalty, then do it.. dont try and "even" it up. if theres a team commiting penaltys all night call every single one. and give each coach a "flag" to throw if they disagree with call. allow one coaches reveiw. but can only be thrown while play is dead and to be reveiwed right then, with toronto and the arenas video crew. 5.ban peanut brain... ya know maguire 6. allow octopus to be swung on ice.. no goop comes off.. maybe just off that damn 30 pounder from 95. 7. no touch icing.. will make the game quicker.. i think the race for an icing is rather lame since if the opposing team gets it, its just a bad angle shot or turned right back over. 8. put hockey commercials on all channels and during anything, baseball, football, basketball, etc.. not just on the channel that the game is playing on.. cause its useless marketing.. why would someone watching hockey want to see a commercial on hockey. cause arent the commercials suppose to bring new fans in, not ones that are already watching the game. 9. back to number 8, market not just cindy the kid, but ovie the gr8, kovalchuck, dats, zetts, lids, avery, etc.. 10. no more injury disclosure during playoffs unless major where there done for the year not a day to day type. and the last one... 11. let the coaches, gms, players criticize the refs and not get fined.. i never got that. and they cant swayed the refs like whiny ***** michelle in the finals.. if ya have a gripe say it. but if its out of line.. say the guy is bitching over something stupid just because they lost then fine him.. but if its a play in question.. let it slide.

ok thanx. i plan on going anyways just to see whats out there and anythign maybe at a steal of a price which will be hard to egt im going to assume. but kind of in the market for a new stick and helmet and maybe gloves so ill see how much they run

I loved the old place.. you coudl be in teh "nose bleeds" and still get smoked pretty good with a nice shot. the side glass was maybe 3 ft high so you could easily touch players or hang over. only the PA announcer who i knew personally was the only thing keeping the players in the penalty box from beating the s*** out of each other while in the sin bin.. see if ya can get on flickr or something and find pics.. it looks pretty much the exact same as the arena from Slap Shot. i heard it was designed by the same guy so who knows?

I think a couple reasons they changed the names is 1) the old owner of the Storm had so much debt with the team that the new owners (the toledo mudhens organization) didnt want to pay it off?? heard this from a guy at work whos talekd with the old storm coach about it. 2) Just start new with name, logo, etc. to go with the new building which from the looks is ging to be a gorgoeus place and cant wait to go to a couple games. I just cant wait to see minor league hockey back in toledo. Might even get season tickets depending on the cost of them. But do miss the old toledo sports arena for hockey and concerts! Anyone else on here go to any storm games??

This whole situation is going to get interesting come this off season defiantly. I personally would let let lilja go, and somehow rid myself of lebda. After watching meech in there lebda to me looks real expendable cause what doe she brign besides speed.... to me nothing really. meech can atelast be a steady dman with upside to get better and be able to sit out a while and still find a grove when inserted. would love to see what he can do with a full season under his belt. BUt excited to see how quincy and Ericsson fit into the plans. just imagine th mess if fischer was still able to play, bless his heart. just my two cents

ive seen them at the lids store in southland mall in taylor.. thought about picking one up, but i have a grey wings hat with eh logo outlined in red and white, and then a old english d one in all red.

ya i used to watch im when the toledo storm were still aroudn and he was playing for him. never stuck out to me really but id only go to a few games a year. say ellis play for the storm a few times so it was nice to see him on the wings. was a lil disappointed he got waived and picked up by the kings.

i personally dont worry about it. i have mine tickets for game one and totally excited about it. i went to two last year and kind of nice havign the chance to get tickets were the last few 10 years or so you had to be pretty damn quick and or know someone who had season tickets. GO WINGS!

ya actualyl hes up there quite a bit. Hes a big gun guy who lieks to hunt his game. only reason i knwo this is one, i live liek 10 min utes from the place, and a close friends dad deals with him everytime he comes in. but hes there quite a bit round hunting season i heard. my friend has had her ad get him to sign stuff for her and shes gotten a nice hand written note from him saying he was there. but damn it i was sleeping during the autograph s***.. damn it

ive waited a couple time after a game and gotten a few autographs by the wings. Usually Dats and Dom stop everytime unless the weather is bad and or the y have a plane to catch it seems. Hudler, Draper and a few others sometimes stop too.

I dont know if anyone has said anythign yet or heard.. but Bootland has bene traded to the Ducks!! so there stepping up there depth.. well in fighters!

Man i feel lucky for getting Dats, and Hasek to sign for me for free. Hell Dats signed my repilca jersey of his right on the 3 on the back. Its huge as hell!

I can get the older style jersey for 40 bucks and then i usually take it to Toms Collectables in Taylor at southland mall and get a name and s*** put on for 40. Looks just like the real thing. plus they have the edge jerseys for the same price as the joe but look 100% better for being a repilca. Im thinking of getting one done up with probert on it since i already have a dats, hank and howe in the candy strip.

No the Igor penalty shot was in detroit vs the sharks. I was at that game and it was his first game after the larinov/sheppard deal. It was Irbe in goal for the sharkies. I didnt get to see it but i remember we left early and when we got to the car they were talking about it and i was so pissed.

Didnt Ozzie have a "regualr" mask all made up and stuff but he just never used it or became comfortable with it? I think i remember seeing a poster of what it looked liked around the 98-99 season at a local card show. But if i remember right it looked similar to Norm Maracles mask when he played here.

IM actually looking into buying the new style. A coupe months back i tried on the Nike version, which is worn by national teams, just to see how they fit etc. and honestly for a fan id rather wear that around then say the moomoo stlye jersy that hides the beer guts, and man boobs that we all im sure share from years of brews and watchign hockey.

I think its sad thatif ya buy your "ripped" off replica.. if we can call it that at the Joe for 155, I can get ones like i stated before that are pretty much authentics except for the lil minor detail s***, for ill say 120. Ive noticed the same thign with the "replicas' sold inside the Joe, and slight variations outside. I was looking forwrd to buying a Filppula or hank jersey in the newer style jersey. I went up to the stand and was shocked, well not really that the numbers looked small. My friend who was with me noticed and she asked me to trun around so she coudl compare the numbers. Sure enough mine were right and the others looked like a E-Bay rip off. Now ill just wait it out til the place i go gets the newer style since they do a great job of making them look as good as the real thing.. well ofcourse its everything but the fight strap and the minor stuff, that isnt the name and number. Ive also noticed at retailers like Dick's and Dunhams, the wings jerseys have name plates on them and there is also a larger gap between the bottom of the letters and the numbers. But ya what a friggin scam!! atleast last night i got Dats to sign my jersey, which was a Dats jersey.

i remember thining "holy s***" when my buddy at the bus stop told me before schol the next morning after the deadline. the cool thing was hodson who i beleive was traded strait up for Ranford played after the starter for tampa was pulled and every one gave him a round of applause for his tenure with the wings. Then with the Said abel retirement game, my uncle took me to a few card stores aroudn warren and one guy i remember saying how he had olympia stuff for sale and how cool it was for my first game i get to see that.

mine was the game they retired Sid Abels jersey. I beleive it was against the Dallas Stars. I dont remember much besides wondering who the hell this Sid Abel guy was. I was i think 10 or so and all knew was that Gordie Howe was the greatest thing ever, mainyl cause my psycho aunt was nuts over him. But it was cool. Saw quite a few other games. Igors first as a wing, the game after the huge trade deadline aquistion in 99, game 2 against Nash., Game 2 against the flames this year, game 5 vs the ducks, a game against the rangers, kings, canucks with cujo in net.
