I personally do not think the best team oyut of the three won. yes there both good teams but i think detroit was much better. Anaheim had the luck playof bounces, goals, etc that make the playoffs so fun. The officiating could have been better for both teams, yet also the wings power play could have been better late in the series to capitalize on the ducks mistake. But hey im just happy we made it out of the first round and ended up in the "final four" since 2002, yes a cup win would have been nice but i was pleased with our team this year and look at it like a cup win due to the bad years before.

i think the new jerseys with the stream lines look will look fine. if they redesign all the jerseys i think it will be stupid. lets see how they looked if they use current jerseys. im curious on how a goalie will look in these new jerseys! specially J-S. ha

Pronger to me has been a goonish player and is hyped cause hes above average and the team defence makes him look better. His actions through out game 3 really back that up. I think it would have been a neat thing if the NHL said there taking back his nomination for the Norris because of that move. That would help send a message to everyone in the league too.. but to me i think hell make the ducks worse but the wings better which im obviously all for. I hope he takes another puck in the chest like quite a few years ago when he was with the blues. But hell be his usual slow, whiny self all game so im not worried. Better for us!!!

That was a bulls*** hit by a lil *** on teh ducks who has always been dirty and im surprised on how he wins a damn norris. But i dont condone what bert did to scott moore..

I was at home watching it with my dad and buddy. I think after like the thde first period we and my buddy went swimming or somehting buti remember thinking durign the game after every goal that a another would be nice to pad the lead.

Perry could have easily turned around him liek any other player would have, instead tryed getting back at the wings by trying to pretty much give chelly whiplash with no penalty called. Im sure the way things were called if a wings player did that hed get one. Hell Bert got one of those penalties either in the first round or late in the season where they accidentally collided and the guy got cut so Bert got 4 min.

i think because they pretty much have that 4th line of just fighters we can win this series pretty easy. The flames pretty much tried that type of s*** and look where it got them.

i agree he is a good goalie, but i do not agree hes the best of all time. Hes had the pleasure to have a good defensive minded team in front of him since he came into the league. I think if he was on anyother team hed be a good to great starter but not on this pedastile, that he is placed on currently with the devils.

I know last nigth Guerin took a nice slap shot on the jaw and was pretty bloddied up and probably lost some teeth ( i swear i saw him spit one out when the camera went on him). I was just curious if anyone has heard what his injury is at all.. I havent found anything on TSN or Mlive. But kind of glad hes out even though he didnt do s*** for the sharks this round... yet. Plus i found him yapping annoying as hell. But anyone know the extent of his injury. Thanx

Maybe i did miss him on the ice since i had to be up at 3am. But it looks pretty bad to me and when they showed him skating off it looked like to me he was keeping his jaw still as if it may be broken.

That sucks. Im going to miss going down to that shack of a rink and watching the Storm on a random friday/saturday night. I beleive there is still hope theyll be around, with no official word on if there packing it up for 2 seasons. (i didnt read the article, just what i got off the television, so dont flame my ass). Wouldnt mind seeing them do a one last year in teh old barn, or shack as i call it since its so small!!

Ya i saw that, i got a lil mad when Cherry said that but its just Cherry. But our PP was good for one game. All this year it seemd to do that, one good game or two then bad the next 3-4, etc. Hopefyulyl we can keep it up as that will help us control the flow of the game and shut down the other team.

Im going to that game too tomarrow too like many of you, and im not really nervous just mroe excited. Ya Clagary will com eout maybe with a lil more jump, but i really dont think theyll do much. Wings seemd to shut the Flames down in the defnesive end to me. If they come out liek they did thurs. the wings will definatly win, and take a big advantage going into the flamer dome in clagary. Those will be tough games, but hopefully with Bert coming back for Game 3 (should be game 2 since he seems healthy), I say this series will go 5-6 depending on how we play them tomarrow i think.

Every city has there weird over reacting fans and this one is just one from the town of Monroe. I live there and i wanted Bert over anybody. And also someone mention the mispelling of Vladdys name in the article.. it happens all the time. Sometimes they will say a story continues on a certain page and the second half just vanishes from the paper.. Im serious too. But seriously this guy must be living downwind frim Fermi or something .. damn!

For me it depends on what happens. Ill try goin gout ot the same bar and eat the same stuff if they win a game, or i wear the same jersey or shirt. I had one in 02 when my aunt would call me 5 minutes before the puck drop, wed say hey and say a quick thing about the last game and the normal "go Wings" stuff. I usually stick with one thing till they loose 2 in a row. Im hoping to go to Game 2 with my buddy since we found good seats.

I met Gordie geez like early 90s. i was a younging maybe in kindergarten or 1st grade. We were visiting my aunts and shes a friggin Gordie fanatic. But anyways he was giving free autographs at some store thing. All i remember is wondering who this old guy was my aunt was nuts for and whats the big deal about him. Well i found out who he was later in life and now i can say i have his autograph and shook his hand. He talked to me a lil too asking if my mom cut my hair.. i dont know why he said that but oh well. I got him to sign a pic from a Gretzky book i got at a school book fair. The pic has Gordie and Wayne together i wouldnt mind getting Waynes auto on it and frame it. But im glad i can say i met Gordie.

I beleive those charges probie had were thrown out by the judge becuase the cops that charged him or whatever have a history of being a lil shady. But he seems on teh strait and narrow now and one of my favorite wings of all time. I had a probert jersey when i could get a wings jersey. I thought i was bad ass

I liek the old place but i would like to see something newer. It remeinds me of the arenas you see in "slap shot" lol. But also hope they dont fold the team its some greta hockey for a cheap price and right now every seat in there is a great one. Im excited to hear they are getting a arena justy finding the right spot for it is all.. but really hope they dont fold or whatever.. plus gladieux sucks as a owner of anything, Toledo Beach Marina, and the storm!!

This right here is why people arent fans of the new NHL. You dont hand out sufficent punishment for what was done. They need to come up with a system that works for everybody not just a few bad spots here and there. I saw by going off the 5 game suspension Tootoo got, i say give him 10 games including start of next year. But i also would fine him. thats what the NHL needs to do to help cut down on these cheap shots. Hit the players back where it counts the most, the pocket book. I think once they start to do that well see a much better hitting game and less liberties taking on players with the back to the play etc.

i knwo ill get people saying its in teh GDT but to me its pointless after a game really.. i can see during but not after. but anyways.. the refs have been terrible and just really weird with there calls. i cant beleive bert got a penalty call on the hit that the blues players put on him. its just crazy. let alone they call that but they dont call the numerous interference/tripping/ too many men calls against the blues which im sure everyone has noticed. its crazy how were playing i think great even though were pretty much playing with 4 guys all the time with how many penaltys were giving for chincy s***. then onto the shoot out controversy. i can see how haseks might be a goal. but the ref aid no goal before it even was in the net and where the hell did it come from. it seemed to just pop out of no where. then the cleary shot was a goal considering the shot on hasek was a goal. the goalie moved his leg TWICE, not once, but twice before he lifted his leg revealing the puck was not in the goal. the replay showed it in his knees and his knees were behind the line if not on it. i thought it should have been a goal just by the way he acted. but anyways im done. if the refs keep going this way ill not give a s*** about hockey once the wings are gone, or ill just have to boycott.. but ya .. im done and its nice to see bert out there an dhope he signs for a decent price and a couple more years.. fits in well so far, but could do better. i think overall well be fine in the playoffs if we start gelling and sammy gets scratched for them.. put ellis, langfeild, or kopecky in his spot.. will help overall!!

ya i understand but its its writting with proper english or close to it with a few miss spelled word then why *****. and do you want me to indent at the start of each paragraph and make a new paragraph with each new topic with it running atleast 4 sentences??? i mean come on this is not a friggin newspaper or magazine editorial.. its a damn message board.. as long as its readable.. who cares. since when did we have a grammar nazi on the internet.. yes it might be a nice idea, but i say aslong as s*** is spelled right who cares. grow up and get over it

I think its funny were on a hockey forum yet people are so anal abotu a damn word being mispelled. i could care less.. not like its English class, let alone a college English class. and who cares about the topic.. if ya look at the topics on the first page from teh past two days, theres no topic like mine, maybe the GDT but i dont even read that cause its too much to worry bout and kind of unimportant. I just find it sad that other hockey fans are worried about spelling. who cares, lets talk hockey... red wings hockey.. its a hockey forum.. not a dictionary forum or one on proper english usage. ive read and contributed for a couple years now and its a turn off to have people worry bout how s*** is spelled or typed, instead of the message its self.

Your right and glad you agree. I just recommended those 3 guys cause of what we have in our system at the moment cause obviously we cant just go trade for someone. The thing i think sammy has going for him is last years surprise signing and production, yet didnt show up in the playoffs, alogn with many others. Thats why i would like to see a younger player or someone who will put some heart into there play and leave everything on the ice each and every game.
