Lang's been uncharacteristically energetic tonight.

I feel great with the way Ozzies been playing, honestly Hasek could go down and as long as Osgood plays like he is now I'd have few complaints.

I think they're reffering to him being the best power forward in the NHL still, just my guess

Just a tip, I've incorrectly called the last 4 games I've said the Wings will lose It's common knoweldge in the Wing's lockeroom (were everyone reads each and everyone of my posts) that I'm a pessimist and they just love to prove me wrong ...and on a side note, the thread merge gave me back to back posts that in a sense contradict each other, not that my first post was serious in anyway.

I'm foreseeing a lose here tonight, might cost us the division too. Such a slim margin between the 5th-8th seeds though it's almost meaningless aside from home-ice.

I'm expecting Andreas "the Pain Train" Lilja to take out the entire Preds team in a line brawl tonight. After all uniformed preds are left battered and vanquished, Trotz will have no choice but to lace 'em up and charge the ice with Tootoo as his tag-team partner. The two erupt into a heated debate about which one better resembles a bowling ball as the Pain Train, upends them both simultaneously with his trademarked leg-lift scoop throw.

Judging from years past I expect Lang and Schneider to step it up and play alot better come playoff time and despite injury, Zetterberg is a clutch player and will bring it this year in the playoffs. I expect Bert and Calder to be the X-factor here for us, if we're to go deep they're the guys who's performance will push us there being the upgrade we needed to go from good to great. However if I were to elect one name above all else it'd be Hasek. I thought we had a finals calibre team last year, but Manny (god bless him) was playing a notch below his standard game due to nerves. Hasek's the type of guy who's veteran experience will make him even better with the pressure, not too mention he can still steal games. Edit: Odd typo that required fixing.

I'm watching pretty good game so far, nothing spectacular yet but I'm betting it'll go down to the wire (actually starting to heat up a bit now). Don't know about anyone else but I feel obligated to watch any game on hockey that's nationally televised no matter what.

Just so you know I'm rooting for Vancouver to win each and evryone of their remaining games... Mainly because I don't wanna see you guys in the first round and I'm starting to think we're gonna have to settle for the 4 spot.

The way our teams been doing offensively I'd love nothing more than a low depth guy like Sammy to step it up and actually score. He can be streaky and I'd rather see him on a hot streak going into the playoffs than anemic, forcing us to scratch him thus comprimising our depth a bit. I can only imagine he's far more frustrated than we are with his inability to find the back of the net. I'll give him until 30 shots till I start getting really pissed off. If worse comes to worse I'm betting he'll snap out of it once Lang starts playing again, I.E. the playoffs. I swear Lang's been playing at half potency just to save his energy for playoff time.

My tradition is to have no traditions, I've said this before. The moment I start getting superstitious it seems things only get worse which I understand within itself is a superstition. But aside from following hockey even more obsessively than usual I do nothing out of the ordinairy.

I suppose that's true Lilja is the proverbial king of the position Sammy's trying to move in on.

I don't see why Tootoo can't fix his game a bit, he didn't head hunt, charge or leave his feet constantly up until this year and some of last. He's always been loved by his fans even when he had a bit of respect for the other players on the ice and didn't seek to completely mock the sport.

LGW's needs an updated whipping boy graphic/thread/poll anything really. Glad to see Sammy's making his way atop the list and really he has been pretty useless lately.

CPrice rather than lock troll threads actually has in the past abused his administrative privilages to alter Troll's posts. While I'll admit it's kind of funny it's horribly immature and further convinces me their forum is just a big xenophobic hate fest were they collectively bash the Wings for lack of anything better. God forbid we ever sink that low if we have a couple bad years. Though to stay on Topic I think Backwashes miracle of a performance was just a fluke at our expense. A few times it seemed to me he got lucky in stopping screened shots and aside from the shootout goal, the early whistled goal should have counted too.

Not to jump on a guy when he's down but people need to follow forum guidelines a bit better when the thought of creating a new thread pops into thier head. Dear lord I've been here for years and I've never even made a thread before.
