Unfortunately there isn't a player creator for the real NHL, but I agree with the notion of adding Fedoruk. Won't have to give up alot for him, adds size and grit and also he won't demand big minutes to be effective and take away form our already established chemistry.

I think Lidstrom is finally gonna get his 200th in this game on a powerplay, not gonna be a blow out but we'll win it and put up another strong 3rd period were our first line comes through to put the game away.

Add a Firebettman.net, a bettmansucks.com, an anti-bettman myspace community and a song and he'll reach the same level as Matt Millen. With about the same level of effect too.

Perhaps he's not a fan of Tim Mcgraw?

This had always been a thought in the back of my mind amidst all the Guerin Tkachuk talk, but I seriously doubt it, Colorado's gonna make it before they do and I seriously doubt they'll pull it off. Minnasota's past their injury problems and won't budge and Calgary is way to good to slip that far. This isn't even ruling Edmonton into the mix either. Though the Blues have been one of the hottest teams overall in the NHL since the coashing switch, bothers me considering I want Guerin wearing red and white come playoff time more than anyone.

Were as I highly doubt she's honestly as stupid as the media seems to portray here, there's no proof aside from some officious claim by her mother that she possesses Mensa quality intellect. I've dabbled in psychometrics myself before and know one cannot become a member of Mensa without some variant of proper testing. If you can provide adequate information informing me otherwise I would be interested though.

They actually have a slightly better playoff record than we do but the point I feel that was meant to be made is that in the past few years they've been helpless to stop us. We beat them 6 games in a row before they barely edged us with 'Rebound' in net while playing on a back to back night at the Pepsi Center when we were down a d-man! Not sure if it's some inauspicious mystique Joe Q carries with him or if they just kind of suck but the Avs can't really compete with the Wings anymore.

This should work.... Edit: Why yes it did

Speaking of "soft euro's who "never fight" does the name Krzysztof Oliwa ring any bells?

I hate Roy more than just about any retired player who's name doesn't rhyme with Maud Remew but I have to give him the edge in the Osgood fight. Defintely ran out of steam at the end but was the agressor through out the majority of the fight, granted Haynes made it sound like Stu Grimson's Reid Simpson fight, yet it's the only audio I ever freakin' hear when I see it. Ouch, that's a low blow... Good job Don't forget electrical appliances, doors, and apparently junior hockey team owner's as well. P.S. 2 points if anyone can get me more info on a Wah story I heard awhile back about him punching a fellow player in the face for accidentily hitting him in a soft spot with a slap shot during practice.

I think I share a similar sentiment as many others here when I say this but.... Rivalries are great for sports and the Detroit/Colorado rivalry has been the best one I've enjoyed during my life time in any sport. I know it's pretty much dead now though there's still that last remaining glimmer of hope of a potential post season match up, or some other claude lemiuex like incident to rekindle that old flame. But if the Wings sign Forsberg, that'd be the absolute last nail in the coffin.

Had a feeling I needed to act fast on that one

Avs snag Bert for the a late run into making the playoffs!

Anyone at all aware of the Canucks winning percentage against us these past few years, can't pull up the exact numbers but I do believe it's better than any other team in the West's. If there is a team I don't want to see first round it's Vancouver, San Jose my preseason picks to win the cup are in a close second however. Just not entirely sure how effective they'd be in a playoff atmosphere since sans powerplays they're not half as scary and we all know that scenario come playoff time a bit to well.

I don't think St Louis is a guranteed win for us anymore sadly, especially not on the road on a back to back night. I sense a split coming from the next couple days.
-
Manny definitely, really no contest. I'd love to see what he'd do with that type of confidence behind him.

Long live the Red Wongs!

I looked through my entire photo collection and every picture I had of myself either included way too many other people, was horribly out of date, or it was concert photo of me playing in my band and my hair is covering my face. This is just about the only one I found that liked and it's not really that descriptive but yeah I've been wanting to post here and likely won't get anythiung new for another month or so.

Well this does coincide with a similar more vague rumor heard earlier, but I don't see us giving Legace away like that, and where as career wise Legace may not be as accoladed as Osgood he is doing much better this season and has for the past few years. It seems to be Osgood's sinking in the new NHL and has the statistics to prove it. You can base your judgement of off past accomplishments when we had a better team and the NHL was friendlier towards goalies. But in the end you're in favor of keeping a guy with a weakness for handling rebounds and a save percentage that's in the lower echelons of the NHL over a man who was playing near Vezina calibur hockey before injury troubles them you are sourly mistaken on several levels.
-
As much as I'd like to see Khabby play for us I doubt we'd ever be able to get him for a price that'd justify his play and as typical as it sounds I'm fine with Legace in Goal. Idealistically Khabby/Mac, but realistically Legace/Mac.

John's my homeboy, he's the only one I know on TV who picked the Pistons to beat the Lakers a couple years ago.
-
Zets definitely, more for less. Any player who's a staple on the power-play as well as the penelty kill is invaluable.
-
To simplify their increase in intensity and why they're doing better now than last year would be because they're not trying to slow down the game at all. Rather than being overly concearned with defense and holding the ball for so long on their own possessions to disrupt the games flow and such they seem to take chances and go for more points by being a bit more reckless on the offensive. This forces the other teamt o do the same and in doing so tire them out and as previously stated they do have ther best conditioned team as well as the hardets working and most dimesnional starting five in the NBA. It's really no coincodence they seem to score more and more as the game goes on.

As long as we're both top teams in the league (Or at least as long as one of us is a top team) there will always be a hatred amongst the two teams even if it's not felt on the ice it's felt in a majority of the fans. Granted Vancouver is in many ways stealing the thunder from our rivalry if you ask me, though they've yet to really meet in the playoffs.

I honestly think the Y2K line easily sounds the best, but I'd prefer not calling them a name that stemmed from a retarded pop-culture debacle of the late 90's. Also wasn't it the Sandwich line, not 2 grinders and a hero, though the pun is still there?
