    5/14 Playoff GDT

Between the Pats, the Red Sox, and the Celtics I can't say there are many things I want to see less then another championship team in Boston. Go 'Canes!
  2. You call that goalie interference you'd have to go back and make 10+ more calls tonight ( missed interference, holding, hooking, cross-checking etc.) Its playoff hockey, the refs make fewer calls and believe me, swallowing the whistle hurts a skill team and this benefited the Ducks a phenomenal amount more than it did our Wings. If they don't call it all series long, don't ***** when they don't call it on a decisive goal. There is zero debate on this. A better complaint would be the BS goalie interference on Hudler which lead to a Duck goal. Not only should that not have been a Hudler penalty, but a penalty on Pronger one of their best PKers. Of course the best complaint all series long would be Hossa's entirely legal goal which wasn't counted due to an obvious mistake on Brad Watson's behalf. We had all the momentum going our way that game and more than likely would have won, meaning game 6 and game 7 doesn't even happen. If the Ducks want someone to blame, maybe they should have kept our shot total below 40 more often, or played a single third period, or rely on more than one line and a guy who's going to be 39 in July. All the Ducks are doing with this pointless noise of theirs is make themselves look... Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll sum it up with this...

    Getzlaf

I've never really disliked Getzlaf at any point in this series. Yeah he gooned it up a bit, but that's just hockey and I'd love very few things more than to see him in a Wings jersey. He's an absolute monster and just about single-handedly kept the Ducks in the series. Much of the hatred aimed at him is just because he's so damn good and a physical player. He isn't a dirty goon like Pronger or a visor fighting pansy like Perry or Niedermayer. Just tougher than a bullet-proof cup and almost unfairly talented skill wise.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Would have actually loved the game to end on a terrible referee mishap so the Duck's faithful could feel some of our pain, but I'll take a definitive victory as well too Hell if not for a PPG given to the Ducks for Pronger cross-checking/interfering with Hudler, and a broken stick we could have had a shut out, though that's irrelevant and ultimately meaningless. Just food for thought if any Duck fans want to conjure up some mythological reason they where robbed.

I don't want to stop watching the post game coverage, but really want to see game 7 in Boston >_< I'd stream it, but my internets been d/cing every few minutes annoyingly enough at the moment.

    Wings V. Hawks. Early predictions

We just got by a team that was perfectly designed to beat us. The Ducks owned far and away the best line on the ice every game, where allowed to clutch and grab, interfere and mug our players ad nauseam to almost no consequence, had a better road record than home record to diffuse or home-ice-advantage, and had the playoffs best goalie statistically. We also did this with next to no point production from our best forward and a PP that left much to be desired, all the while technically getting healthier by getting Rafalski and Draper back. You could even argue had Brad "Dips***" Watson not shat the bed with his stopping a live puck with an early whistle, we'd have won in 5! Meanwhile Chicago is coached by full-time professional "Red Wing's *****" Joel Quenneville and looked lost against us all season long save for a couple garbage games near the end. Naturally I'm extremely optimistic, but I definitely feel the Hawks are firing on all cylinder and we'll have the closest Joel Q playoff series in basically forever. Wings in 6, with most games being 1 goal or 2 goal empty net games.

Hope the first thing each Wing does after going into the locker room is wash their hands

For real? I thought you where 10 at the oldest, and no I'm not joking. Anyways I'm gonna use the ignore feature for the first time since RuutuandHavlatownZetterberg, who I believe is banned anyways. You're a terrible aggravating human being who give the rational Duck posters on this forum a really bad name. Might I suggest you read a few NHL columns and learn the game a bit better before you, a fan of the dirtiest team in the league start your biased tirade against one of the classier and least penalized (except for this series amazingly enough ) teams in the league.

Do you even know what interference means? You make yourself look like an absolute fool saying the Wings do it even 1/8th the amount the Ducks have been doing it this series, besides the only divers I've seen this game is Salami and Hiller writhing around like pansy's to draw calls. Besides my team should have disposed of your crappy team in 5 games, if not got an inept ref stealing a goal from us, but of course I forgot, the refs are clearly trying to hand this to the Ducks.

Just like your team, so I assume you're giving them a compliment.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Of course this crappy team gets another BS goal on a PP they didn't deserve. Where that dumbs*** troll now that the refs have basically humped his team leg since he made his complaints? Probably too embarrassed to post at this point.

Pronger should have gotten the penalty for that, once again we get boned. Let's get a shorthanded goal with this karma.

Hiller's just being a *****, Hudler weighs like 115 pounds with his gear on, he can't hurt anyone

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Well that sucked, not much to complain about since Stuart knocked the Duck into Osgood and Selami made a great play. At least Ozzie had a good reason to miss it. SAMMY!!!

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Hot damn this game's awesome! Stuarts marginally late hit was totally worth it, especially since Salami was just being a pansy anyways trying to sell the penalty.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Great, giving this pack of goons a chance to get back into the game by playing their game. N/m looked like a clean hit, ref just being a retard as usual.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

I bet the retarded Ducks faithful think that shouldn't have been a call either. I.E. the trolls here, not the rational ones, you guys are cool in my book.

This your first hockey game their little boy? Good thing this game's on at 7 or else your parents might have to cut off your internet time before they tuck you into bed. You are under 10 right? I mean there can really be no other way.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

OMG clearly the refs are on the Wings side. Give me a break, any Ducks fan believing that after the s*** Pronger just pulled needs to eat a gun and fast before they stain humanity more with their ignorance.

2009 WCSF GAME 7: Ducks 3 at Red Wings 4

Actually pretty happy with that period, amazed with how one sided the stats are. While Detroit dominated play and puck possession (aside from the Ducks famous keep it in the corners forever strategy,) Anaheim had several great chances early on, thankfully Ozzie came up big, the Wings are clearing the puck in front of him every time its loose, and our back check has been phenomenal as well as our PK. Killing the 1:10 of being 2 men down and scoring first are easily the two biggest instances of play we've had this entire season.

Eh, rather not score on a make-up penalty. Okay I'm lieing, I'd take another Draper face goal right about now except it can bounce off of three skates as well.
