Love how the pregame write up on Yahoo! wastes the bottom third of the article bringing up Holmstrom's elbow, yet not a single mention of Brad Watson destroying the game.

Knew it was a minor. Seems most kids under 18 nowadays have had the internet their entire life and don't understand that occurrences their can have ramifications in real life.

This should prove interesting to watch develope. I get the feeling the end result will be some 13 year-old losing internet privileges for the rest of his non-adult life.

Homer is an agitator and part of that job portfolio is to delve into dirty play occasionally and Homer is not immune to this notion at all, even if he's far from appearing in anyone's top ten. However, its also fair to say Holmstrom takes more punishment for his style of play than most likely anyone in the league. Wiz calling him gutlass is about as appropriate as a 1st grader calling his nemesis a "doody head," and just makes him sound like a whiner who's crying over the sour grapes served up to him for taking an unfortunate slap shot to the ribs. Granted he's understandably annoyed seeing as he can't play, but no Duck has 1 tenth the claim to any complains about anything occurring in that game as much as any Wings player.

Wings win a close game and something happens with the reffing that causes Anaheim fans to *****, many lols will be had.

Remember folks, if you're going to the Ponda tomorrow your best defense against any unwanted confrontation is to stay in groups, not by packing weapons or anything equally bone-headed. Also, I'm thinking if some of the more surly constituents of the Ducks fanbase act this classless in victory, they'll be far worse in defeat. I also heavily side with the notion of guiding fellow Wing fans whether at the Joe or the Ponda to use proper etiquette. My respect for NHL fans as a whole has taken quite a few hits this post season and I would really love the trend to discontinue.

Actually forgot about these, watched them both prior to game 1 against the Duckies to get me pumped, will do it again tomorrow night as well.

I wonder if the NHL has ever considered keeping the same ref set-up all series long. Keeping in mind how differently games are called one to the next I actually think it'd be a good idea, even barring the nightmarish scenario where you're stuck with a terrible one. At least the players would know what to expect.

Really late in on this thread, but I'd like to congratulate ShanahanMan for having the stones to stand up to a pack of sociopolitical D-bags. If you lived anywhere near me I'd happily buy you a beer.

He was listed as day-to-day, and has been injured for about a week. No need to exaggerate to highlight such a dreary outlook, furthermore the word is he'll play game 5. Personally I'm more curious to know how he got injured in the first place.

Another valid point that could easily extend to all Canadian teams who've seen little success under the Bettman regime. Once again I all of these reason may be far fetched and Brad Watson is just an idiot and the NHL is a flawed league with pointless restrictions on what plays can be reviewed.

Might have something to do with Bettman's desire to spread parity and not see a repeat Cup winner. Could also be more personal and simply just bias from a Canadian referee to give a heavily European team the shaft, surely we've never seen any instance of this behavior occur before . Either way with the NBA referee point shaving scandel, you can not completely deny such a thing as a possibility. Other possible motives could be wanting to avoid OT considering the already stirring debate about hockey OTs being too long, or simply an attempt to draw the series out longer (something that's been rather evident during finals) giving Anaheim the edge now before Detroit gets its injured back or wears out the Ducks. Think about it some and I;'m sure you can pick out a few more potential motives.
