Canuck's get a 4 minute PP.
-
Holy crap that was crazy, Bulin collides with a defensemen and leaves the net wide open, yet Vancouver's shooter was tied up and didn't get the shot off.
-
Despite a few obvious miscues the Canucks PP looked a lot better than Chicago's.
-
Hawks looking sharper in the early going, might be do to rink rust on Vancouver's part. Now Hawks on the pp.

ESPN's Buccigross Det Ana Series Prediction

How dare he suggest we lose a game! Wings in 3! -
While most officiating complaints from coaches are simply cry baby bullsh*t stemming from unprofessional jackasses trying to even the playing field against a team they know their team is inferior to. Carlyle's preemptive whining is not only completely inaccurate, but the exact opposite of truth.

Worth posting this here, too.

Seeing as to how this thread is now relevant today I don't see a problem in bumping it back up. Also, a little video to help get everyone get in the mood for this series.

While it is typically our code to not forecast too far ahead and try to focus on going on at the moment, I can understand how long layoffs between games spouts endless boredom here. I actually have an answer too, Boston easily. I truly believe they're the best team in the East and deserving of the position and I never shy away from the opportunity to see an original six finals. But yeah, still waaaay to early for this.

Awesome and well deserved honor, but I really don't see him having much a shot to win it. Best all-around player for sure, but I can't build an argument that makes him more valuable to his team than Ovechkin is to Washington

If more trolls happened to have a goofy gimmick like this, I wouldn't mind them half as much.
-
Thanks for posting this, truly awesome stuff. Only problem is now that I've watched them I feel too damn pumped to get any sleep.
-
Glad we garnered a Friday start, but I'm a little disappointing the earlier times aren't road games as I rather dislike the 10:30 starts for us in the EST.

A little late on the bus here, but I thought it was very funny in an obvious tongue-in-cheek sort of way. I think most level headed Shark fans would enjoy it for a cheap laugh as well. Of course considering the way I felt when Detroit lost to Babcock's Duckies in round 1, not a lot could make me laugh so I could see how a more sensitive fan might view it as taunting.

This is the silver lining for me in watching the Devils once again crap away a game to the Canes in the final minute. Hoping the Ovechkin/Crosby rivalry lives up to its hype and maybe, just maybe we'll get a bit more of this out of Semin...
-
I got my stream up right after the Canes took the lead, trade you your timing for mine?
-
Thank you Versus, I love this John Tortorells press conference it is 100X times better than the Devils/Canes game!

One can always hope.

*sigh* I was responded sardonically to Killer's insinuation that Detroit's going to lose to Anaheim and be golfing come a week and a half from now. My comment was a counter to his by sarcastically agreeing with him that Datsyuk will be golfing, but only as a pass time while waiting for the other series to end, not because his season is over with. By this insinuation I am instilling a notion that the Wings will sweep/dominate the Ducks, much like Killer was motioning that the Ducks where going to sweep/dominate our Wings. People and sarcasm sometimes, just doesn't work well over the internet.

Washington is rolling with all the momentum as well as home ice, while the Rangers are a drama soaked mess at the moment and should be on their way out barring a monster game from Lundqvist. New Jersey wins in OT, just a gut feeling.

I guess he has to keep busy somehow while his team waits for the winner of the Chicago/Vancouver to finish up.

Fun fact of the night: San Jose could be the first NHL team to be a 1 seed and lose to the 16th seed team in the opening round.
-
Speaking of futility Calgary was just eliminated.

San Jose historic playoff futility takes another step closer to coming true.
